  • Joe Parker Is Actually Underrated....

He showed great defense imo. He got touched less than Hughie Fury and damaged less too. Hughie Fury was moving backwards 100% of the fight, it's easier to have better defense when the other guy is lunging at you. but nope.

I actually think he'd have a shot against the likes of Joshua and Wilder due to his defense alone.

Let's not act like those 2 have iron chins. If they open up on Parker thinking he's a bum, he might just knock them out in exchanges. Parker actually does have a great chin too.

If he can't do better against Hughie than he did then he isn't underrated and he won't beat Ortiz, Wilder or AJ in my opinion. Getting a split decision in his backyard over Hughie isn't very impressive.

He is indeed very underrated, Takam, Ruiz and Hughie are all very good wins, he's only 25 and still learning. He's fought and beaten different styles.

Yeah, he's not. He's the epitome of mediocre.

Underrated? Yh probably but we'll have to disagree on his defense.

Its not difficult to look defensively sound against a guy who is practically fighting in survival mode occasionally flicking out a weak ass 'leave me alone jab'. All single shots, no combinations even his jab was thrown half ar5ed.
Like a big, more timid, cr4pper version of Miguel Vasquez.

jesus christ, 'underrated' is definitely not the word i'd use. Stick him in with joshua and see what happens.

Parker will have a win over the Whyte then he'll cash out versus Joshua. I don't see Wilder getting past Ortiz and I neither see any demand for Ortiz vs AJ. Joshua himself has reiterated he's not in the sport for the long haul and I guess he'll likely fighting Joyce and Dubois down the line.

Joshua facing Pulev and Parker are by no means given victories, id favour AJ but he'll deserve credit for beating these guys, im not sure how much credit he deserves for going life and death with a geriatric Klitschko 18 months removed from the ring on the back of two poor performances against Fists of Fluff Furry and Jennings.

I just found out the fight was in England so sorry about that mistake. I thought the fight was held in New Zealand.I think Parker is good but not the best heavyweight today.

This dude shouldn't be rated at all. There's nothing dynamic about him and he's done nothing but squeak by his average opposition.

Yet still beat them, Hughie fought exactly how Wilder would fight him if they fought each other, only Wilder wouldn't be able to move like Furry and be mauled to a stoppage, shame we won't ever see it as we'll get Parker vs Joshua first.
