The greats as they get older they change things and add wise tricks to their game. GGG can extend his career by adding a inside game! No major slippage yet though

There is nothing wrong with aging. It is part of life. Athletes can still compete at the highest level well beyond their "prime." They have to work harder, adapt and adjust their game. Incidentally, if you are right and GGG has not yet declined, that means that Canelo acquitted himself well against a prime-time GGG. I am glad to know that.

Didn't say he wasn't getting older and more people learning how to fight against him a.k.a. "slipping," just baring the question of why the obsession. The implication being that even the haters know that's the only factor that can make GGG beatable. I just forget how low of intelligence the average poster here is and how they can't figure that out.

GGG is certainly not the fighter who demolished Macklin and Geale but he also isn't close to being shot. GGG, if he doesnt pull his punches, stops Canelo in any possible rematch over the next 12 months.

Lampley is slipping because he can no longer KO women like he used to.

Longtime HBO Boxing play-by-play announcer Jim Lampley was arrested late last week and charged with domestic abuse. The 57-year-old Lampley now faces a felony charge of domestic abuse/corporal injury and two misdemeanor counts of violating a restraining order and dissuading a witness.

San Diego County Sheriff’s Captain Glenn Revell told the Associated Press, “The circumstances are that there was an altercation between Mr. Lampley and a 28-year-old female with whom he reportedly has a dating relationship.”

The woman in question is 28-year-old Candice Sanders, who won the Miss California USA pageant in 2003. Sanders alleges multiple cases of assault and further claimed that Lampley was drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana prior to the most recent incident, which was allegedly witnessed by Lampley’s 14-year-old son.

Lampley was released from police custody after posting $35,000 in bail. Lampley’s public relations representative, Howard Bragman, released a statement in which Lampley said, “I am innocent of the charge of domestic abuse that has been leveled against me and will vigorously defend myself. I’m confident that the process will prove that I’m not guilty of this charge. I thank my friends and family for their support during this difficult time, and ask for the understanding and patience from the media until my legal situation allows me to discuss this in more depth.”

Lampley drew the ire of MMA fans last summer when he said on Jim Rome’s radio show that UFC events are nothing more than bar fights and that MMA fighters are “not athletes.” Lampley also said at the time that any of the top fighters from the UFC or K-1 would lose very quickly to a top boxer, and that the UFC “will never be bigger than boxing.”

HBO has not yet made any public comment on Lampley’s status as HBO Boxing’s play-by-play announcer. The next HBO broadcast on which Lampley would be an announcer is scheduled for January 20th.

Who did he dominate and who is the unstoppable force. GGG has not "dominated" anyone in the last couple of years. No one has ever accused Canelo of being an unstoppable force -- that would be Mike Tyson.

The competition sure got braver once GGG hit the mid thirties and started showing signs of slowing down. Maybe if he wouldn't have been avoided in his prime we wouldn't need this type of speculation.

When did he ever show signs of slowing down before he fought Jacobs? He steamrolled everyone. Then he stepped up I'm competition and he stopped looking invincible now everyone wants to say he's declining? He hasn't declined the people he's fighting are better...Much better.

Whoa! This guy is bad news! MMA is an entirely different sport than boxing but is sure as hell is a sport, and it is certainly not for the faint of heart.

But in most people's eyes he just beat boxing's biggest superstar whos younger and fresher and improved massively. How can you do that at age 35 if your not that good?
