Interesting move, but still looking to see how this plays out
Danny Jacobs is a good fighter, is still relatively young, and he and his camp have basically checked Golovkin at this point (two belts already have mandatory challengers, Jacobs is I believe the top rated challenger by the WBA, and Billy Joe Saunders is promoted by Frank Warren).
Would be nice to know the terms that were agreed to for Jacobs to be willing to give up his free movement for however long.Comment

Some of you guys just make things up. Danny hasn't left Haymon at all and he was never exclusively a PBC fighter. He was always able to fight where the best fights were. Which is why his last fight was on HBO.Comment

WOW.....So does this mean Eddie Hearns is about to bring Matchroom Boxing exclusively to HBO? If so this is a very smart move by Eddie Hearns and HBO.
Also Danny Jacobs departing from Showtime is a big deal as well. So the majority of Middleweights are now with HBO outside of Charlo which eventually he's going to have to go that direction as well since thats where the money is at and champions.
Great deal for all 3 parties.Comment

Sources have informed BoxingScene.com that Daniel Jacobs has signed multi-fight agreements with HBO and British promoter Eddie Hearn.
The deals for Jacobs, a former WBA middleweight champion from Brooklyn, will be announced during HBO's replay of the Canelo Alvarez-Gennady Golovkin middleweight title fight Saturday night.
Jacobs' last fight a highly competitive, unanimous-decision loss to Golovkin on March 18 at Madison Square Garden was broadcast by HBO. Two of Jacobs' previous three fights were televised by Showtime, but HBO's Peter Nelson began expressing interest in working exclusively with him since his close loss to Golovkin.
