    IBF: Kovalev vs Jack

Then WBC winner fights WBA winner, (and loser fights loser), and WBO winner fights IBF winner, (and loser fights loser), and then the winners of those fight each other, while the double-losers go back to the gym and improve so they can rebuild for another crack at the top of the division in the future, like a sport is supposed to work.

That tournament over the next 12 to 15 months could net us these interesting fights:

Kovalev vs Jack, Beterbiev vs Gvozdyk, Stevenson vs Bivol, Kovalev vs Beterbiev, and Kovalev/Beterbiev vs Stevenson/Bivol in the winners bracket, Beterbiev/Kovalev vs Bivol/Stevenson in the semifinal losers bracket, and Jack vs Gvozdyk/Beterbiev in the quarterfinal loser's bracket.

You think 2017 was a good year in boxing? That's seven top level fights boxing could have in just the next 12 months, all between punchers, all from one division, if it only functioned as a sport. And then if it could only function as a sport in every division, if you extrapolate those numbers out, the sport could actually have multiple top-level fights every single weekend of the entire year. 2017 is a good year in boxing compared to the last decade, but 2017 still ain't **** compared to what is actually possible if the best fought the best in each other's primes.
    That would be a dream.

Seems like they've been negotiating for years now.

Honestly, I think Clerverly is the most Jack can take at LHW... So I see where he's going... Alvarez and Barrera would whoop him around, he they're only top 10 guys ... He might wait for things to sort out and go for the easiest on paper...if ever ...

Why are people ducking Bivol? He's green as hell.

Why would anyone duck him? We see this all the time. Not everyone is ducking.

Then why not knock him off and unify WBA + WBC with Stevenson? Bivol had to pose some kind of risk in order for Jack to drop the belt. I've never seen someone drop a belt because the mandatory was "too easy".

I really couldn't answer that question. Hopefully Jack will explain himself. Like I said, I don't see a reason but I'm not ready to make that accusation.

I can see the momentum this will take where people will start building Bivol into something he isn't and the whole cycle of "he really wasn't that good" will occur all over again.
