Golovkin and Canelo fought to a controversial twelve round draw at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The scores were 118-110 Canelo, 115-113 Golovkin and 114-114 for the draw.

That's all exaggerated bro. We've all heard numerous bouts with louder and smaller attendances compared to this packed house. Seeing how many people were rocking GGG hats and roaring for GGg, prefight, its not unusual that the mics aren't going to pick up from the fans that came from GGG. Be it 80/20. Even if it was 95/5, any boos heard, Loeffler would say the same thing as an excuse to say the fans knew who won.

It's like the post May 5th 2015 threads with numerous posters saying the fans were booing for Floyd. Arum isn't dumb enough to use some boos to justify a point. In general sports you have competitive fans in arena...

Maybe some people were disappointed with Alvarez because he didn't win, not that they were cheering for GGg.

In these situations you criticize boos if the fighter one, not from a DRAW.

Yeah, Loeffler has no idea WHY the fans were booing. Byrd's wacko card is the culprit here, not Canelo. And most of those booing fans didn't process all the nuances of the fight anyway. Yes, many were booing Canelo, but I'm sure not all were. And to the ones booing him, go back and watch the fight a few times. If you're watching it objectively, you will see a masterful display of defense from Canelo. You'll see GGG not landing solidly or flat out missing over and over. You'll see Canelo landing more accurately, more solidly. You'll see GGG practically clueless in ability to cut off the ring. You'll see better footwork from Canelo. The list goes on, but I'm confident in the end, the knowledgeable real boxing fans will be big enough to admit they saw it wrong initially. The casuals meanwhile will stick with their initial opinion and stay mad about the results for the rest of their lives.

And Adelaide Byrd will be one of the judges for the next Rod Salka fight.

Clearly Canelo's fans were booing him at the end of the fight. It was undeniable. Still Canelo did what he could against Golovkin and wasn't stopped so I don't think the boos were warranted. Fans can be tough and Mexican fans wanted their fighter to be more aggressive. I guess they weren't happy with the defensive posture Canelo was taking throughout the fight.
