I love the "story" that takes place in boxing. Not necessarily the drama, but the cinematic twists and turns that take place in a boxer's life. There would definitely be something poetic in Kovalev training with Hunter.

Considering Kovalev's biggest problem might be his mindstate, I think Hunter would either be a brilliant choice, or it would totally implode. As a Kovalev fan, I would love to see what happens.

Hunter isn't really going to suit him well. Hunter and Angulo didn't work out well at all. Kovalev would be better off with an Abel Sanchez type guy that will help him bring out his power. He retired Ward. That should give him confidence going forward.
