    Well for starters you pay for gym time while the pros you get paid, more matches, head gear, competition, scoring & some rules are a bit different.

      The difference is the best pro's are in amateur boxing and the 'professionals' are the bunch of amateurs.

        Not that much these days with the headgear being gone & the scoring system being more pro-like. Amateur boxing is like it was pre-84ish(?) with the headgear issue & pre-92ish(?) with using their scoring system was like playing old skool Nintendo.

        Amateur boxing vs pro boxing were different f#cking sports for a couple decades there. Amateur boxing has steered back into being like HS & College football is to the NFL for pro boxing.
