You do know the only reason he was as good as he was is because he's Irish right. The other side of him is lazy which is why the early retirement

If Ward was such a feather fisted bum and Froch and Kovavlev was such killers, they couldn't have neutralized his "cheating" or fought fire with fire?? John Ruiz was the biggest cheater ever, so by the same logic he should have also retired undeafeated.

Kovalev went 20 rounds with Ward and he couldn't do chit. Why didn't the Krusher knock Ward out so he couldn't be "robbed" by the judges or gotten so unfairly wrecked to the body?
did he cheat or not??? you are defending his cheating by going off on tangents and putting the onus on his opponents to overcome his cheating. if they were so good they would have knocked him out is not a good argument. it puts insanely high expectations on them and low expectations on ward. the argument of a fanboy. if the fight wasnt held in the usa would he have been allowed to cheat nonstop? so that is a relevant issue to bring up. whats also relevant is wards refusal to travel during the super six and after it. ward knew his style didnt travel yet you dont? you also think kovalev was wrecked to the body when everytime he was hurt the blows were clearly well low so i dont think you care about the rules much. you are here to build up a cheater who wins fights he shouln't. go for it. you arent convincing any reasonable fan but you can circle jerk with the couple rabid fans here.

thank you fanboys, reading your delusional rose tinted fanboyerism was very amusing, im sure it will continue for years to come. every time a MW-SMW-LHW-Cruiserweight-HW champ defends their belt/fights/has a fight lined up, there will be dozens of ward threads about how SOG would of schooled them all!
This is where we part ways.. As a **** head who laced them up, I respect SOG..met him in person, Fentons... Oaktown..

I was telling him (you a bad azz SOG) you handled frock and Miguel Kess easy.. He said something like,,, Z,,,those two hit harder than hard

No, he's not a cheater. Ward is a rough, cagey, throwback fighter like Hopkins, who can be dirty at times. Boxing isn't hopscotch or tiddlywinks. He's not supposed to make it easy on his opponents. If you're saying Ward went 31-0 and built the resume he did only because of cheating GTFOH.

How is it cheating when the ref made clear in the pre-fight instructions the beltline was a legal blow? Both fighters had EQUAL opportunity to throw to the beltline. Kovalev was just too dumb or incapable of taking advantage of it, Ward wasn't. And where should they have fought instead of the US, Siberia?? Where they would've been paid in sacks of potatoes and goats?

I love the selective outrage when it comes to cheating. McGregor landed the exact same shot on Mayweather's beltline and no one here said jack chit. Since you're such a stickler for the rules, why no mention of Kovalev's cheating? How about when he turned his back on Ward, when he bent over in an illegal position, and all the holding he did in the first fight after he gassed??

                  1. Don't ever compare the greatness of Andre Ward to the ineptitude of Trump. One personifies dignity, class, grace, and excellence. The other is the President.
                  2. I actually thought about this as it pertains to Floyd. The man's been undefeated for over 21 years. How ****ty must it have been to hate on on a man that keeps winning?
