Why does GGG have unrealistic standards?

I see it with big punchersoften. Canelo is a once in a generation type fighter and people are shaming GGG for soundly beating him.

I think Canelo and jacobs are just as good as paul williams and pavlik. People compare segio martinez run but GGG competition has been just as good.

Do big punchers need continues KO's to uphold the status quo?I think it influences judges also. Canelo ran a lot of the fight and landed less punches, it wasn't really a hard fight to score.

It's like judges and fans give the other fighter over due credit because they managed to not get KO'd.

Actually, no top champion has ever gotten a bigger free pass from the media than Golovkin. His any fighter ever been ranked P4P #1 despite accomplishing as little as 97G? His best win is a welterweight he made move up two weights.

TS,posters like this one are the main reason the standards for GGG are so unfairly high on this forum. He hates GGG so much he can't even call him GGG and instead makes up his own insulting name of 97G. He is a big Mayweather fan. A few years ago GGG offered to fight Mayweather for Mayweather's 154 pound belts and most posters thought GGG would have KOed Mayweather back then in a fight at 154. That's possibly the reason he hates GGG so much. Mayweather and his fans wanted Canelo to win so they could claim a guy Mayweather easily beat was able to beat GGG. Nine times out of ten these extreme GGG haters are big Mayweather fans. They will never give GGG credit for any good wins no matter who he beats.

Are there actually any serious publications that have ever ranked GGG p4p#1 in the world? Doubt it.

His expectations are unrealistic because he's an elite fighter. Just as they were for Floyd, manny, Hopkins, etc... With great talent comes great expectation, and all of GGG haters are acknowledging how great he is with every hateful post. If this guy was really a hype job, nobody here would say anything about him

A draw with Canelo that 90% of people believe he deserved to win = being exposed.

Name me a fighter who has never lost or had a close fight with someone of Canelo's caliber or even lesser. Floyd got gifted past Castillo. Castillo.

I wouldn't be surprised if there is some dynamic in play where if a high KO guy doesn't come close to KOing a guy in a fight that he might lose more close rounds than he usually would vs guys he's hurting or dinging up nicely.

That said I think this fight was mainly just close. Most cats seemed to score this fight 7-5 GGG which while saying most people had GGG winning also says if you saw one round differently, as I did, its a draw & if you saw two rounds differently Canelo wins. So idk if there is THAT much of a conspiracy here & I actually thought GGG looked more like the loser if we wanna go with the old timey adage of which guy would you rather be. Not that that or anything else is a 100% correct thought process in scoring just that I thought Canelo actually did more damage to the boogieman-like puncher GGG. So yea that says something, but I think it says something that was actually there.

Eh, but whatever the last thing I wanna do is get into another scoring debate with this fight so while I think your overall premise might have merit I don't think it does for this particular fight cuz the majority of fans & 2 of the 3 official judges saw a close fight.
