I don't see a problem with it if it's just because he's British. If you go fight in USA against an American, you will generally get an American ref and judges, so what's the difference?
I need to know if he's done something to Parker or anybody affiliated to him. Right now I'm baffled.

The entire thing is a joke . You shouldn't have to off set anthing . Basically team Parker knows they wont get a fair scoring and feel the need to have a New Zealander to make it even . In short its like a WWE script .

One solution ! Plant Hughie on his back and turn his lights out ,close the circus down !

        LOOOOOL

        ahahahah

right, yep..... that sure fixes that problem, doesn't it

so, the guy who is too close to the home fighter, cannot be the ref.....

so..... we will make him a judge

right, I guess that sounds ok

        LOL Parker, good luck

change your gameplan, and knock that boy the fk out..... or STFU

if you complain, after having the opportunity to take matters into your own hands..... you can sit on the losers sofa, with Golovkin

I've seen this guy on the tube as I get sky on my Saturday and he's average to below as a referee worse as a judge maybe a step above Adelaide Byrd... he's not corrupt he's just not good...

the issue is, the contract specified neutrality across the board

Team Parker are concerned because O'Connor referee'd Hughie Fury's last two fights

they think that Fury is familiar with the referee, so will therefore have an advantage

I think they are worse off now, they should have kept their mouths shut

So they have him as a judge now? 118-110 card for Hughie confirmed

he could be overly-wary of the negative attention

is O'Connor known for favoring fighters or making bad calls?

maybe this is all rubbish ?

                  crazy situation but

Publicly trash the ref then have him installed as a judge and call that a moral victory?? Ok then Peter Fury is completely right, David Higgins IS off his head on drugs, LOL.

Have David Higgins turn up to a press conference late and totally blotto and then paint this as some type of shrewd tactical move?? David Higgins and even to a lesser extent Parker by endorsing this, are achieving something I thought was impossible and that is they have made Team Fury look like the professional and sane party in the build-up to this fight.

                    A special kind of ******.

I think Parker's team just wanted to draw media attention to it, so that any foul play will get the spotlight.
