Prime Sergio Martinez would of whooped both Canelo and GGG that night.

IDK about that, Martinez's gastank is/was smaller than Canelos and I think Canelo has the better chin & defense.

I guess that's true, but still a prime sergio vs a prime golovkin would be a hell of a fight, i still favor Golovkin, current golovkin isn't prime to me at least not physically prime.

I mean I'm a Martinez fanboy but c'mon lettuce be real. Prime Martinez was struggling to beat Macklin in what world does he beat either Canelo or Golovkin.

Of course it would have been a great fight, Martinez peaked around the williams fight. After that he was done with injuries, even his fight with Macklin you could see he wasn't himself anymore. He had to fight low level competition and cash out with both chavez and cotto when he had his chance, this was after getting denied a chance at Vernon Forrest.

If you think Martinez that fought Macklin was prime then you don't know much about boxing...Sorry.

              extremely short peak 1 year.

I think GGG peaked against Proksa and has been slowly on the decline physically due to age, but still he is 80% of his absolute prime because his boxing IQ likely went up (even if by a little) but his physical prime is now at least 5 years removed.

So he wasn't in his prime when he fought Macklin but was in his prime when he fought Chaves. So what your telling me is Martinez prime is Williams-Pavlik. This is like when people choose when to call bernard hopkins prime. Martinez was an exicting fighter just leave it at that. Don't say he would beat ATGs bc his prime lasted 3 fights.

I loved Martinez, i was a big fan. Really liked his style.

I think he's skilled enough to keep away from GGG for a while, but it think GGG would eventually break him down and stop him late. Martinez could be a bit chinny.

Again, i think Sergio's skill set could make Canelo look clumsy and slow. But eventually i think Canelo would get into the fight.
I'd probably pick Canelo on points.

They'd be good fights though. Prime Martinez was very good.

Yes a prime Martinez would beat a 35 year old Golovkin. Very nice analysis.
