Best case for ggg, assuming canelo won't fight til may, is bjs in the uk in december...rematch canelo in may...retire.

like who? canelo has no money options at 160 either.
nobody wants a cotto rematch.
he isn't gonna fight Charlo
he isn't gonna fight Jacobs
so it's canelo vs lemieux. super fight huh?Comment

Exactly. Only one flash knockdown in his last three fights. Huge difficulty landing clean power punches. Starting fights slow to conserve energy, then ending fights slow (both Jacobs and Canelo had late pushes when GGG should have run away with both fights). The left hook which used to be his #1 weapon besides the jab is nowhere to be seen. Slowest left hook in boxing at this point. Never lands when he throws it, and it's gotten to the point where he's afraid to throw it and doesn't even commit because most times he does it misses and he gets countered.
He is a lot further past his prime than people realize. Either that, or the altitude training is ruining his reflexes at this age. Either way, it's decline. People talk about him knocking out Saunders to shut him up... are you sure? With this version of GGG, that looks like another distance fight to me.Comment

Usually it's the fighter who refuses to admit he's getting old. In this case it's his fans who refuse to believe it.Exactly. Only one flash knockdown in his last three fights. The rematch will happen when Golovkin is 100 years old. Canelo doesn't want anything to do with Golovkin until he knows Golovkin is 10 feet under so don't hold your breath. Watch him looking for a featherweight as his next opponent.Comment

BJS in Kazakhstan on HBO. Match Hopkins title defense record and unify the division in GGG's home country. Seems like a no brainer. The last thing GGG should want is GB to yank them around again and BJS is not a dangerous fighter barely squeaking by freemason faqqot Monroe.Comment

It's not so much about him slowing down as to him now facing better calibre opponents. Before no one wanted to fight him and honestly the level of his opponents were mediocre. Now that he is fighting champions it's harder to knock them out as they are better technically and stronger physically.Exactly. Only one flash knockdown in his last three fights. It certainly wont happen in December. May 2018 the earliest, but I have a feeling we will wait until September 2018 at least.Comment

I don't think Canelo/Beefy was PPV, and BTW, it sold 50K seats at Cowboys Stadium if I remember correctly, for a fight w/an unknown Brit. Doesn't make any difference WHO is buying tix or PPVs etc. What matters is Canelo is a much bigger cash cow than GGG. And he will be that for the rematch as well. In the meantime, Canelo has several options besides GGG... and the opposite isn't true of Gennady.Comment
