Comments Thread For: Tyson Fury Pleads With UKAD To Render Decision on His Career

Britain's troubled former heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury challenged the UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) body to either hurry up and ban him for taking an illegal substance or clear him to resume his turbulent career. The 29-year-old, who has not fought since his shock defeat of Wladimir Klitschko to win the WBA, WBO, IBO and IBF heavyweight titles in November 2015, is waiting to appear in front of a UKAD hearing after being charged with a doping offence over a year ago.

While I dislike a lot about Tyson Fury...he's got a damn good point.

The UKAD are showing just how ****ing spineless they are. Hurry up and put an end to this fiasco.

In theory, could he not still fight outside Britain if it's just a UKAD ban?

When was Hughie Fury's UKAD hearing held? He was charged with the same doping offense as Tyson. I never saw any reports regarding the completion of his hearing or the result that was rendered. Was Hughie's hearing ever held, and if not, is he being allowed to fight for a title on Saturday with a pending drug trial still looming?

He threw away his career and is a pile of dung now but the guy does deserve better than this.

His mental health, or lack of it, is more to blame for him not fighting.

However, this should have been wrapped up months ago. Incompetence and needless bureaucracy no doubt.

Never mind UKAD, he couldn't pass a psychological evaluation. For years, instead of getting him help, his fans applauded when he continuously showed symptoms of mental illness. Now look where he is.

"UKAD postponed the original hearing in May -- because of a potential conflict of interest involving a member of the panel -- and have yet to announce when it will be held."

In other words UKAD thought the panel was going to throw the case out and now they are stalling and trying to figure out what to do to avoid being sued by team Fury.
