Why is Canelo's defense and body work being ignored?

So yea, canelos combos were cute and all, but simply not enough to make a dent in G or even stop him from coming forward. Canelos best punch of the night, the overhand right, GGG just walked right through it like it was a splash of water. Those combos weren’t very effective at all.
He out landed him. What are you talking about? Now Canelo gets points taken away because ggg can take a punch?

First you said he didn't throw anything but now you're admitting he outlanded him. Make up your mind.

Probably because from a strategic point of view, its easier to have better defense and pick cleaner shots when your backing away than coming forward. Not everyone has the skills or patience to do so but lets not play and pretend that GGG did not have to pressure and take far more risk to land than Canelo did and deserves less credit for taking risk and dictating the fight.

That's my biggest issue with the current crop of "defensive" fighters, they hardly take risks and think they should be rewarded over someone who constantly had to take risks so the fight could happen. Want credit for impeccable defense, get in the pocket and exchange while showing your defense, don't circle around the ring 2/3 of every round avoiding your opponent, that's not defense, that's stalling the fight.

        So Canelo took no risks?

          Thank you!

Everyone's too busy being brainwashed by Harold's atrocious scorecard to even care what actually went down in the fight.

He took some, especially in the first few rounds, but not nearly as much as GGG throughout the fight. He was basically backing away except during his 20 second spurts at the begining/end of each round. If you can bounce around on your toes like he was constantly doing, you've retreated to a safe place, that's not defense, that's stalling.

Canelo had the much more rounded attack and the better defense by far.

Then how do you explain that he outlanded ggg in power punches 10 out of 12 rounds?

It doesn't really make sense to me

This fight was closer then anyone could have expected. I had 3G winning by a point, but I could easily see it a draw. Nelo has improved tremendously while 3G couldn't adjust. Both took damage and honestly I can see Nelo winning the rematch. Good fight

Went to dollar beer night last night.

Even a Canelo fan at the bar said G won
