How do you feel about this as a sort of stay busy fight for GGG before the May rematch? This would be more interesting than a Saunders fight. Is Dec 2nd too soon though?

It should do pretty huge ppv. Nice check for Cotto, continued star exposure for Golovkin.

People think he's interested because he said that he is interested. If it's his last fight and he just wants the biggest paycheck possible, I could see him coming around.

It's the biggest money fight out there for him in December.

I still doubt he takes the though but I wouldn't be overly surprised.

If Cotto was smart he'd stop this artificial deadline bs & just fight who'ever he can fight on the likely Canelo undercard in May or fight Canelo in May if they try to marinate the GGG rematch for another year as I'd bet is highly possible.
