I know it'll never happen because it goes against the entire job of being a promotor, but I wish just 1 promotor would keep it real. Just say, Canelo fought a better fighter that night and was fortunate to get a draw because he was outworked and out landed the majority of the fight despite it being competitive. Instead they try to pretend like boxing fans aren't capable of understanding what we saw and sway the gullible masses into believing that Canelo actually won the fight.

He did more against Canelo to get the Victory than Canelo did against Lara to get the Victory.
Thats the problem too many people look at punch stats that have been proven inaccurate,& even those punch stats show the same thing canelo outlanded ggg at a higher percentage & more total power punches, ggg supposedly landed 53 more jabs ,if you look at which rds ggg landed those jabs in they were in rds canelo should of won like rds 1-3 for example, canelo was landing more power punches in each those rds & controlling the fight, people forget boxing is scored by 12 individual fights called rds,so if ggg lands 50 more punches or 1 more punch landed, in each of the 5 rds rds he shouldve won then it doesn't make any difference whatsoever in the rest of the fight when he doesn't.

Another thing is jabs should count as around 35% of power shots on average.
So when people say boxings hit & not be hit thats ungenuine, because scoring boxing is about much more than that, its about ring generalship, which canelo did better, Defense (canelo did way better),effective aggression(50-50,but canelo landed almost all the body shots in the fight & tons of combos & biggest shots with gggs face looking far worse),accuracy(clean punching) again canelo landed 4 more power punches with 70 less thrown(10% higher accuracy),& ggg landed 6% more jabs
        accuracy.

I had canelo winning 7 rds to 5,based on these criteria which most fans don't use to score the fight(casuals)

Canelo was the only one who went to the body at all & in rds 1-3,8,10-12 he landed more power shots controlled the pace, made ggg miss horribly, landed at way higher accuracy,& landed devastating combos at times while unloading counter power shots at times on gggs chin & body,(7 shot combo in rd 10 I believe).

I am one of the few on here who was at the fight & who seen it on tv afterwards,& I had great seats. I can see ggg winning by 7-5 or a draw but no other result should be legit,it was a 50-50 fight just as most seen it going into it.

I think most of the outrage is comin from that scorecard, I mean I watched a very close fight so I'm not mad at the draw
but I think it's not good that you have a judge who gave 10 rounds to Canelo I mean, You could make an argument for Canelo barely winning it but he did not win that fight by 10 rounds, that's just impossible.

So I'm ok with the result but not happy with the scoring because it hurts the integrity of the sport.

Overall it was a great damn fight as I expected the best from my two favorite fighters , the fight did not disappoint at all.

Bhop is a legend & he was 51 yrs old fighting 4 the title when that happened so stop making a fool of yourself acting as if that somehow erases his legendary status. And youve made it clear your a angry white male before whos hurt by him saying something a yr ago to sell a fight as hes always done by creating controversy so both fighters make more $$$. Get over it.

I agree with Bhop the rematch will probably be easier, but only cause Canelo will probably drag it out a year or two and allow GGG to further decline as he knows now GGG didn't decline enough for him to be in there.

He landed two more per cent higher and only two more power punches more the fact is he was on his bike the whole night and his little flashy punch his never really connected Triple G blocked a lot of punches.. Alvarez also missed a whole lot. Don't blame it on the punch Dad's bro just accept the fact that he got out landed
