Comments Thread For: Golovkin's Promoter: We'd Come Back to Vegas for Canelo Rematch

LAS VEGAS The controversial scoring of his first fight in Las Vegas won't prevent Gennady Golovkin from returning here for a rematch with Canelo Alvarez. Tom Loeffler, managing director for K2 Promotions, said Team Golovkin wouldn't rule out another fight against Alvarez in the "Boxing Capital of the World" just because he had to settle for a 12-round draw with Mexico's Alvarez (49-1-2, 34 KOs) on Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena. Kazakhstan's Golovkin (37-0-1, 33 KOs) expressed his displeasure with Adalaide Byrd's 118-110 score for Alvarez, and the unbeaten middleweight champion and his handlers think this controversy is about Byrd, not Las Vegas.

I betted on GGG, but felt Canelo won. Lucky it was draw for me. I just watch the fight again. Canelo landed the clearer punches. GGG trew more and put the pressure, but wasn't landing clear. GGG couldn't corner Canelo. I was a Canelo critic hardcore, but props to him. He didnt even get Knock down and Jacobs did.

GGG should rematch Jacobs o fight Charlo.
    Canelo should fight Sounders.

Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, Australia is a good venue with Waleska Roldan as one of the fight judges.

          GGG is very optimistic.

He's happy he's getting another payday against Canelo and I'm sure he would love the opportunity to beat him for a second time in a row.

The second fight will be easier because GGG knows Canelo can't hurt him and he gasses after four rounds.

Looks like Loeffler is just another company man and has been all along. Team GGG is really doing a **** up job alienating its fans lately. First with Abel seemingly not knowing modern sports science about altitude recovery that has probably ruined GGG's reflexes, according to Virgil Hunter and Victor Conte, now with this. They dont care about GGG's legacy, just the money they can make off him. If more money is in Vegas, they'll let him get robbed again, what do they care?

How much money did the bookies make since it was ruled a draw. I'm not a gambler so this is a serious question.

A lot of casinos and betting sites give the money back if it's a draw it's called "push"

I really don't think Tom is the best promoter. He always walks into a poker match and drops his cards on the floor
