HBO has ruined how a fight should be scored!

I've seen so many horrendous scorecards!

Someone gave Golovkin 10 rounds and said he clearly outboxing Canelo! LMAO

You can't convince a fool that they are being fooled!..

Canelo 7-5 or a draw, landed the cleaner more damaging punches, better defense and fought his type of fight more than what GGG wanted which is why Golovkin is complaining and apologizing to his fans!

Cue Roger Mayweather,"Most people dont know sh!+ about BOXING!"

This. It is true that aggression must be effective by actually landing clean punches. Otherwise it doesn't really count. I thought Jeff Horn did a lot of that to Pacquiao. However, in the case of GGG, he was landing shots too. In some rounds, around 7-9, with surprising regularity. Judging by the op's scorecard, I think he agrees. For the next fight, I want to see GGG with better timing to counter Canelo's speed. He was aggressive but not as technical as I'd like to see him. He mostly wore Alvarez's defense down rather than finding cracks in it.

Because Mayweather ruined how scoring criteria works. The one who survived the round automatically be given to the one who barely did enough as long as he survived. It is no longer about aggression or number of punches landed.

Hey, anyone can get it wrong even experts in their own field can make mistakes!

But it's their opinion, it's just funny how those are some of The same fighters who have faught off the back foot and counter punch and use movement but claim GGG won and he was robbed!

Interesting to me since they should know more than anyone about boxing's scoring criteria!

Finally someone with a well-thought, realistic opinion about the fight! I watched it without the commentary and had the exact same opinion as you. Canelo should've got the nod, at worst it's a draw. I can understand people being swayed by the commentary but if you seriously think GGG got robbed then you just don't understand boxing. So many brainless casuals nowadays, it's embarrassing.

                DON'T bring Mayweather in this!

It's a new era and his time is done!

Watch guys like Willie Pep, Whitaker, Loche, Ali and etc who used defense, counter punching and movement to win fights against guys who were "the aggressors or who threw more punches but didn't land the cleaner punches or who took the more damaging blows"!

There are 4 scoring criteria's for boxing!

                1.Clean punching

                2. Effective aggression

                3. Defense

                4. Ring generalship

Was the fight a war in which is GGG's style or was it a boxing match which is Canelo's style?

                  1. GGG landed as many head snapping punches and had Canelo do the Stanky leg at the 7th round.
                  2. GGG whooped Canelo and battered Canelo many times other ropes and had cut off the ring man times on him.
                  3. GGG made canelo miss by slipping and blocking punches on the inside and not have to use excessive movement unlike Camelot. Canelo landed aLot of Glove and grazing punches.
                  4. GGG set the pace of the fight from round 4 all the way to the end which Canelo failed to control and in result made Golovkin had his way on him Majority of the late early rounds till the arrival of the championship rounds which it became competitive again.

Refute that and don't give me B.S answers.

It does if it was an even round the problem for GGG was he was getting caught with clean shots and wasn't landing clean shot so those rounds go to Canelo IMO even though he was getting out worked

There's a bigger chance than it's you getting it wrong than hall of famers and most of legit active fighters

The difference is that fighters like Lara or Rigo (who criticized the scorecards too) are able to neutralize the activity of their opponents

                      Canelo can't do that.

Some fans talking about ineffective agression, there's ineffictive defense too

Floyd was controlling the distance and pace of fights while being defensive unlike Canelo. He was landing more shots than his opponents unlike Canelo who ended up being outlanded by Golovkin

Canelo was more defensive minded than Golovkin, that's true, but it doesn't mean you should get the victory - Golovkin dictated pace and distance of the fight, especially in mid-rounds, that's why Crawford, Lara, Foreman, Lewis and probably 90% of boxing world scored it for GGG

Canelo was looking impressive when he was fighting in spurts, with better hand speed and counter punching than GGG, but he was taking long breaks to save energy for another spurt, while doing abolutely nothing, making Golovkin more consistent fighter in the result

It's not the same stuff that fighters like Lara or Rigo do. There's no comparison at all

It's coming from a person who picked Canelo to win wide UD in NSB Pick 'Em game. This mother****er failed me because I was expecting him to win. According to some people, he was supposed to give a boxing lesson and get a clear W against the old man, you'd think they're talking about next coming of Mayweather, the same people who celebrate the draw like it was a victory now lol
