Let's make this rematch as soon as possible. No need to wait almost a year for another showdown. There's no guarantee they'll win their next fight if they take on new opponents so let's not take any risks here.
What is next for GGG and Nelo?

I predict what you are predicting. GGG vs BJS or Cotto + Canelo vs Cotto II or BJS in a co-headlining PPV in May with a Sept. PPV rematch intended for GGG & Canelo unless Cotto or BJS can upset the applecart as they say.
I'd rather see Canelo vs GGG in May, but boxing being boxing they will marinate a year cuz all these mfers think delayed gratification is always the winning plan without looking around at the world today & realizing the world is all about NOW NOW NOW & cutting out the bs.Comment

I think he has the same problem Klit had, he relies too much on it.
But I can't blame them since they had a very effective jab, and could put some rounds in the bank just with that weapon.Comment

Cotto "roachy' style in and out could troubles GGG, would be a war with Cotto probably ending like the Marg plaster fight.
BJS vs Nelo is good too, BJS moves a bit enough to worry Nelo for some rounds.
Don't know how Nelo will feel, Nelo deeply knows he lost the battle (yet noot the war).Comment

You're ignoring a lot here
Namely that Gennady Golovkin has to fight Jermall Charlo next or be stripped of his WBC 160lb belt (which would then start the process for Derevyanchenko getting his mandatory, which could lead to Golovkin also being stripped of the IBF 160lb belt).First of all, I thought GGG won that fight.
I think GGG's problem (when he's not fighting stiff hittable guys like the Wade or Rubios of the world) is that he's a jabber and is not getting full credit for his great jab work, dude is not flashy or nice, but he's outboxing cats.
Nelo's problem despite all the talent he has is dude does lack stamina and I thought he did look sometimes disinterested.
I based my choice on what is best for both fighters:
GGG best options:
1. Cotto : Money, legacy, experience
2. Saunders : last belt, and maybe the easier fight out there.
3. Charlo : would close a crazy run for 2017 and that fight would be dope.
GGG should have a rematch with DJ but it would be 3 hard battles in a row and probably the hardest fight at 160, so better wait for 2018.
I don't think GGG should rematch Nelo, or at least not in Vegas. Dude hardly collected 4 belts and might end robbed. He won according to a huge percentage of the fans but also insiders, so fck GBP.
Nelo best options:
1. Saunders: not the hardest fight at 160, a WBO belt to lure GGG in to a later rematch
2. Brook: easy work, decent fight
3. Cotto rematch
He should wait GGG to age a bit more and get some experience at 160.
Nelo should go nowhere near DJ because Jacobs would be a bad match up for Nelo.
Jacobs is a bit of a mover and is 4 inches taller.
Depending on how Alvarez physically feels next week (give the body a bit of time to register the damage that was take), the logical course is that Alvarez fights Billy Joe Saunders for the WBO 160lb belt in December/January (JerryLand as the likeliest option depending on the date; Cotto's fight burns New York for the time period), Golovkin vacates the WBC 160lb belt and makes his IBF mandatory defense around December/January (The Forum, at full market price, to see what Golovkin's drawing ability really looks like), and then Alvarez weighs the Golovkin rematch against a David Lemieux fight for the May PPV (with the other fight likely at for the September PPV).Comment
