He's always had bad stamina, some guys just do. I think with some guys they can train for stamina as much as possible and maybe improve it but never really get it to a great standard, it's just the way their body is. Same as anything else really. You can probably train to punch harder or improve speed ever so slightly, but you cannot train those things be something you are not.
Everyones body has limitations, just in different ways.Comment

imagine Canelo's stamina at 35...
I actually felt his stamina improved with the weight gain, even just going to 155 (like the Lara performance comes to mind). He looked solid versus Chavez Jr. but Chavez didn't apply any mental or physical pressure. Versus G, I think the pressure had something to do with it - it was a factor of both Golovin and Canelo's mediocre stamina on display again. Good thing for Canelo, Golovkin was content on head hunting.Comment

Same with Valdez, he also doesn't know how to slow down the pace and is always throwing hard shots and is constantly moving.
I don't like Hopkins style, but he is an expert in slowing down the pace and preserving his energy.Comment
