  • Comments Thread For: Daily Bread Mailbag: Canelo-Golovkin, Loma-Rigo, PEDs, More

The Daily Bread Mailbag returns with Stephen "Breadman" Edwards tackling several questions on the middleweight mega-fight between unified world champion Gennady Golovkin and Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez, the recently finalized Vasyl Lomachenko vs. Guillermo Rigondeaux, brand of boxing gloves preferred by elite fighters, and more.

'Domestic Violence is a slippery slope and I would rather stay away from things like that if I can.'

Proof again straw feminism has stormed the mass media and you must say what is PC otherwise you're a misogynist.

Very sad state of affairs indeed. Even 'Degrassi Jr High' allows its female characters to batter their partners without reflection.

I fear the fate of masculinity more than the threat of 'terrorism'.

We all know the fágggot who wrote in about peds is that gggimp maxi as he does every week. Canelos fights are always vada testing & he even demanded it vs jr who was with heroidia & who did everything to try to get different test company of his choosing even crying after it had started.but to gggargling gggaylords like maxi_pad he needs to believe that gggs opponents are juicing despite ggg starting testing 2 weeks out 4 fights before & not having same power since vada testing, these gggtards are pitiful. And no im not accusing ggg of juicing,& if he was before oh well he didn't get caught & opponents probably were too if thats the case.

That's what you take from this? Nothing about boxing but Breadman not wanting to comment on someone's views that he said he wasn't aware of? Geez!

Hatton, DLH, Mosley, Marquez, Cotto, Pacquaio, Gatti)objectively can we say that any of them apart from Hatton was in there prime ? I think hypothetically he would have beaten any of those seven fighters in there prime but would isnt the same is actually doing it

DLH and Mosley ducked him for years. You supposed to be knowledgeable but don't know that.

          Mosley after he beat Vargas
          Merchant: Will you fight Floyd
Mosley: I don't know I'm going on vacation
          Merchant: What about after that
Mosley: I dont know as I'm standing here it feels like my tooth is loose so I have to see about that first

Always a double standard for **********.

That means Canelo wins over Mosley and Cotto don't count

Pacquiao shouldn't be credited with Mosley, Hatton and Oscar if that's the case lol.

When Floyd fought Cotto he was 31.
When he fought Canelo he was 23

Lol neither weren't in their "prime" according to the haters.

I'm glad Breadman addresses PEDs often. One of the most honest voices in bkxing in my humble opinion. With that being said, it could drift into paranoia for fans. As a fan, you have to remember to enjoy the sport instead of looking to accuse everyone of trying to get some sort of edge.

I respectfully disagree with all this Chocolatito praise yhough. Definitely an HOFer, but he started out at 108 and then dropped to 105 to get a belt. He balloons up in between fights instead of staying in the best shape. More importantly, he gets hit alot with his style. Once he couldn't bully people with volume and power, the ending showed up. Great career amd great fighter, but I'm not going to fet carried away by him moving up in 3 lb increments. He wasn't even that much smaller than Sor Rungvisai anyway...

Breadman won't comment on Lampley because he has to appease to boxingscene and the HBO crowd. He wants to be accepted by the Douglas Fischers of the world.
Guarantee if Floyd said that he'd have no problem commenting or taking 2 seconds to look up the quote. He only retweets stuff from Steve Kim lol

You tweeted Broner Garcia scorecards would be controversial
Another attempt to impress the Steve Kim's of boxing

You called out everyone for their opinion on Chocalito.
How many p4p fighters have Roman beat? How many hall of famers have he beat?

GGG may have a Surprise in Store

Everyone is basing this fight off the idea GGG has slipped, even those who pick him to win.

GGG seemed to indicate he's out of blood and set a trap.

Look at the picture they put out with J-Rock, he hadn't looked that stacked since Rubio.

I would be surprised if GGG hurts Canelo with his firepower early and sends him to the ropes. The countdown to Team Canelo throwing in the towel will start then.

No Canelo fights are not always VADA tested, in fact he specifically refused VADA for the Smith fight which was also the only fight since 2013 when he's made 154. PED don't only help put in muscle, they can help you stay strong when draining yourself.

Also, people criticize Floyd for not fighting people when they were in their primes. When was Floyd in his prime though? They never question whether Floyd was even fighting at the division to make the fight in their prime. 20 years from now, a lot of that nonsense blows over

So a guy writing to Breadman insinuates Alvarez to be cheating...very practical story and headline about PEDS to be published when a major fight is about to happen hours from now...

This site would get sued if Breadman insinuates the time off GGG had from Jacobs, to that ''injury,'' and to the actual printed posters of Golovkin looking fat, or his belly popping out wearing a suit.... I guess because Golovkin is immune to criticism, no one gets to assume how much GRIND Golovkin needed to do with said circumstances above and only fighting 2 times a year...

Momentum is important in this sport. Any time off from the regular could impair performance, UNLESS of course, as the thread title shows, PEDs can be implemented.

Breadman did say this from the poster giving his honorable mentions with Marquez, Pac, and Mayweather: Yet Breadman says this -

''One more thing and I will keep saying this. The easiest way to spot a cheater in boxing is to watch the guy who has the influence and power to test and he chooses NOT to. Whoever falls into that category is most likely cheating.''

Here Sanchez says ''nobody has ever asked to do'' regarding advanced drug testing, assume VADA and USADA ensure protocol for ''advanced testing.'' Therefore, Abel seems to forget what voluntary suggests...
