...which is exactly why you are not a successful promoter. Have you not listened to different promoters talking explicitly about how much money Oscar is leaving on the table by going with this cheese **** throwback theme that would be embarrassing for a college film student.
There is a compelling narrative here. The part in the 24/7 where golokvin is interacting w children in the boxing gym was fascinating (to me anyway, just bc it reminded of what it's like for a former baseball star going back to critique his old BBI team).
The point of this ****** thread was not that this fight won't sell millions of PPVs or isn't interesting.
It's a great fight. This day is taking for ****ing ever bc I want to see that **** so bad.
The promotion was amateurish (which makes sense given that it's Oscar's first, major, solo event where he is A-side promoter

Hell, the UFC's promotional team is killings that of boxing's. They could've done a better job with this. Get the WWE involved. All Canelo/GGG have to do is be themselves. If they're enjoying it all, great. If they're not, then it will show and intensify the narrative.
    This is sports entertainment.
Every so often a sporting event that demands to (and could) be several orders of magnitude greater than all in recent history.
And even lesser often, such an event happens in my generation, in my prime.
This is too entertaining to deserve such an amateurish promotion.

I think this will not break 1 million in PPV. GGG is not a draw and Canelo is not a mainstream star.
