The only chance for a trilogy would be if GGG wins. I think that Canelo is too locked and will have too many flashy combinations and body work for GGG to be able to handle. I feel like Canelo will be ahead about 5 to 1 at the mid way point and that GGG will be forced to press the action during the second half of the fight. He may have some moments and successes but it will not be enough to beat Canelo. Tough for me to see a trilogy if Canelo lays one on him. We shall see. Can't wait!!

Trilogy means we never get to see Golovkin fight anyone else but Canelo, and we also never get to see Canelo fight anyone else either !

To go to a trilogy, the fights would have to be fairly close (at least the first two would), so lets assume 30 rounds total (fair assumption ?). With Golovkin's age ,he never fights again anyway, but what would Canelo be like after getting hit by Golovkin for 30 rounds ?

Vasquez/Marquez comes to mind, they were both never the same afterwards.

If it's close, you best believe Canelo's getting the decision.

I don't see even a rematch happening if GGG loses. He will lose ALL his band wagon fans to Lomachenko and then call GGG an overrated, old BUM!!!

There is rarely a need for a Trilogy unless the fight is spectacular. Was anybody asking for 3 Pac/Bradley fights?

I see his fight going one of a couple of ways. 1. Canelo either quits on his stool after the relentless pressure Golovkin is applying. 2. Canelo's corner stops it or throws in the towel. 3. The ref stops it because Canelo is getting beat up for too long. Or 4. it somehow goes the distance and even though Golovkin is clearly winning, they give it to Canelo. If Canelo couldn't KO Chavez, Cotto, Trout, Lara, Mosley and others, how on earth do you think he will be able to KO Golovkin. golovkin has never been down or KOed in the amateurs or the pros hahahah. Also, Canelo has been successfully guided for the last couple of years and he hasn't fought a top 20 guy in 147, 154, 160 or 168 so how do guys like Beefy Smith or Khan prepare him for Golovkin?/ The answer is, they don't.

What about Option D??? Camelot wins the fight for and square...

                Cotto was ranked p4p #9
Lara was ranked P4P top 20
                Trout was also

If Oscar wanted a trilogy, he should have made the fight 2 years ago instead of swerving GGG. Now, it's too late for a trilogy, but no one will call for even a rematch anyway.

Dumbass canelo vs ggg wasn't even an option 2 yrs ago. Canelo won his title off cotto less than 2 yrs ago, training camps take 4 mos 4 this type of fight plus rest after cotto fight. So the absolute earliest this fight could've took place was 1 yr ago,ggg pulled his diva move in june 2016 & then him & canelo have been on uneven timelines, ggg signed 2 fight brook immediately after so that takes out 5 mos,he then had to face jacobs as mandatory next & took most a yr negotiating over a small amount of $$,then canelo was already signed vs Jr so this is the soonest the fight could've happened once ggg diva forced 15 day deadline to negotiate a mega fight. so please stop making a fool of yourself
