I think he often appears to be sort of one-dimensional and only effective due to his size.

You call Wladimir one dimensional and yet you describe Briggs as a "great fighter"? Briggs wouldn't last four rounds against Wlad.

his size plays a part in his success, but so do his skills... look at other giants like mccline, whitaker and grant who have size, but do not have wlad's skills and thus aren't as successful..

James Toney in shape has a good shot against most heavy weights even though he should'nt even be in the division with is height and lack of power. But matched up against Klitch and I think Toney would lose, but not because Klitch is more intellegent or more technical.
          Yes...

But notice I said the heavyweight division. The only part of Toney that belongs in ther is his stomack. Toney has not been able to "Dominate" as he promissed, nor will he be able to. I just can't see him beat guys like Wlad, Lyakhovich, and Valuev is just too huge for him...

and all like you said - size disadvantage. Toney does not belong with the HWs.

4 Sanders - lucky, probably one of the greatest hitters in history.

1 Williamson - lucky, was only the balance.
3 Peter - lucky, illegal blows (Wlad's holding and turning around of course had nothing to do with it).
The only heavyweight that is worthy of excuses.

The topic is the Wladimir Klitschko fans.
He gets praised like the second coming. But he is very limited, in my opinion.
He lost to Ross Puritty, Corrie Sanders and Lamon Brewster fair and square. But the fans claim they were only lucky and would get brutalized in rematches. Then why on Earth doesn't Wlad rematch them? Let me take a guess: they are not worthy?!
Klitschko is good against hand-picked opponents like Castillo, Moli and Byrd - they are small and weak.

Klitschko was down 11 times in his career.
                1 Panell - lucky shot.

I am not trying to be disrespectful. Klitschko is a good boxer and deserves to be champ now. But could YOU please calm down about him?
playa, I dont buy the whole Wald deal either...hell just a couple years ago he was screaming retirement but now now he is HW GOD....lol...please glass jaw..
