I said it months ago, i think this will be the final unraveling of the chap, after canelo gets put to sleep, i honestly think he will be seen wandering around the vegas strip in the early hours, out of his mind, bizarrely shouting (possibly in crossdress) with powder all over his face.

Yeah but he is only going to add size sideways not up and down. he can't do anything about that.

I just don't see how he's going to win.

          Canelo is:
          Shorter
          Has less reach
          Flat footed
          questionable stamina
          never fought a true MW
facing an opponent with an excellent hard jab
an opponent who is a hard puncher

I just got to stop listening to other people about this being a 50/50 fight. I've said 80/20% and that seems more right than ever to me.

Bumping my bet up to $1K on Golovkin to win.

Unless Canelo knocks Gennady out or fight him like he did Chavez, by constantly beating him to the punch and getting his punches off first, then I can see him getting stopped late by Golovkin.

Alvarez cannot expect to win this fight by countering with just clean single punches, a low work rate and punch out put. He's going to have to fight and force Golovkin to earn his respect.

He is going to have to let his hands go in order to win this bout because if he doesn't he is going to get knocked out because he is not going to out point or KO Gennady with only counter punches.

He doesn't have a shorter reach you d1ck...why do some of you claim that all the time...according to boxrec, he actually has a half inch over golovkin. Fuggin tool

I think reach is overrated sometimes, unless it's a significant amount. When you just dangle your arm out in the ring as if you were being measured?

A lot of it is down to technique and the ability to step into shots. I always said you can probably add another few inches onto Wlad's reach really, due to the way he extends his shoulder when jabbing. Some guys punch shorter than others.

As i say, unless it's a huge amount, then i don't read to much into it, especially when there's just a inch or two in it.

I don't put much into it either unless it's significant, but people for some reason keep assuming that he has a shorter reach because he's not as tall.

Yeah. I think his reach is deceptive, much like GGG as well actually. As Brook said, he didn't realise how long GGG's arms were until he fought him. I don't think that was purely down the actual measurement though, i think it was down to technique, range and distance control maybe giving the illusion it's longer than it really is. Also Canelo's KO of Khan was a very long right. Khan put out a very lazy jab and I think he felt he was out of range.
