I want to see how Monroe responds on Saturday does he man up and fight like a warrior or fold up.

LOL this isn't a warrior fight. This is a boxing scientist fight. If Monroe fights like a warrior vs a boxing scientist he's going to lose & lose bad. BJS don't fight like a warrior. Monroe doesn't fight like a warrior. This is a boxing IQ fight. BJS gets an edge saying crazy things & getting guys to act emotional in the ring.

I don't like Monroe's talk about his kids and wife etc...he should match Saunder's trash talk with over the top trash talk. He doesn't sound menacing and gives off weak vibes.

I think talk is talk. I think fans take the talk wayyyyyy too seriously. I think if a fighter takes the talk seriously its bad for him. Fights are won in the ring not with talk. In particular fights like this won't be won on talk unless Monroe does fight outside of his comfort zone due to being emotionally triggered by BJS's words.

I don't disagree that this sh^t talking thing isn't Monroe's strong suit, but I don't think he should fake the funk either when it'll show with a high level sh^t talker like BJS. I actually thought Monroe held his own in the presser the other day with his Jamie Foxx imitation with the "this is your self conscious" stuff that even seemed to get BJS laughing a couple times.

Seems like the trash-talking mode of promoting a fight is getting to be SOP in Britain these days. Haye, Saunders, Eubank, Fury, Bellew, Delboy.

Many exceptions still, most notably Joshua, but seems to be more of a thing in the UK than the US. The US has its Broners etc, but if its a numbers game, Britain takes it.

Trouble is they aren't all equally good at it. While Fury and Bellew can come off as entertaining, Saunders is just irritating. Wonder if he resorts to throwing something at the final press conference like some of the others have (be it a chair, water, punch). All in the name of press coverage.

Hey, Joe Louis did not trash talk nor did he sound menacing, neither did Sugar Ray Robinson or SR Leonard and a lot of great champs. BJS is a level B boxer at best so he has to babel ******ities to get attention.
