Most will, but in country of 127 million and millions in the USA he'll get a lot of hate. Again not saying it is justified. If you need any evidence just see what happens to Mexico soccer when they lose.

I lived in Mexico for a year and regularly visit about once a month on average. This fight isn't just about respect for Canelo among boxing fans but respect within for him him within Mexico, a chance of him to give a big FU to all those who doubted him and say I'm for real.

I agree. My only point is Golovkin won't get it from his countrymen and he'll never go back to live (who the f would, he lives down the street from where I work in perfect weather). No offense to Kazakhstan but it is Kazakhstan.

Canelo lives in Mexico and will hear it, and a lot. At least for a few years. He'll be ****** rich but don't think it won't get to him. Mexican fans can be absolutely vicious to their own especially when he doesn't fit the typical Mexican stereotype of a boxer. By the way I think he is a tough guy, don't care how he dresses. He could put on a dress but if he gets in the ring he's got balls. I'm not saying this to justify hate, I hate haters. I'm saying this as someone who finds cultures and subcultures interesting.
