    I think it comes down to the style of individual fighters. If you fight behind a high guard you're more vulnerable to the body shots. The shoulder roll/philly shell style protects the body better.

    I think Eastern European boxers will adapt better once they're more settled in the pro game. You just don't have a tradition of PRO boxing there like you have in the USA so there are obviously going to be some flaws.

      I know a guy from russia who's an amateur that koed golovkin cold in sparring. They had to bring the paramedics and ggg was in the hospital for a week after.

        No man is invincible, should not shock anyone if this was true. I don't think there is any boxer that can honestly say they haven't at the very least been shaken up in a sparring session in general.

            Anything can happen in sparring. Fighters spend hundreds/thousands of rounds sparring versus many different boxers. They do this multiple times a month where as they only have real fights a couple of times a year. They are sparring many different guys that are bound to have their moments in sparring or they may be feeling out of it on certain sparring days because they train so hard back to back days.
