Let's take ODLH's career for example. He was robbed against Trinidad and Mosley twice.

Why? It's because ODLH is a bonafide draw just like Canelo.... but in giving the decision to Trinidad and Mosley created 2 more stars in boxing. More revenue in total.

Same case here, Canelo has had his share of gifts already. There are far more upsides to having GGG win a close decision. boxing is a business that watches out for itself and itself only.

If Canelo wins..... what other big fights are there?

However, if GGG wins the decision. There will be 2 more fights. Both million PPV box office draws.

if GGG wins and goes up.... then boxing will have 2 PPV stars rather than 1.

It's not as clear cut as you may think. =)
It is actually a very good point if you believe judges look out for this.

draw fighters do get robbed from time to time when you almost believe it makes no sense.

Bradley vs Pac 1 for example.

      guess what it created?

Fair points. That said, as we learned with Floyd/Manny you only have a low workrate if the other guy out works you. If the other guy throws less, well that same workrate suddenly looks dominant.

Golovkin has to get the KO no doubt about it.

except GGG is throwing punches. his temperament is almost Maidana like.

The thing is too... when you are always getting close decisions..... people keep track. when you get so many reds in a row......next time it may not turn up red.
The draw against Mayweather was for Vegas, not for boxing. A win for GGG would be for boxing, theres a difference. When a majority of the bets are placed on Mayweather by UD or Canelo by KO, Vegas made a lot of Money on a SD.

As for Lara, well lets be real on this one, Canelo won that, not as clear as the judges had it but he won. It wasnt his most impressive performance but people just want to hold onto something. Besides boxing and vegas had nothing to gain with Lara.
