Its damn difficult - but at least a few of these guys said that if it goes to points there's no way Canelo loses. Makes you wonder why K2 agreed to make it in LV or maybe that was a pre-condition. So take away four of those reservations and it would have been 15-15.Monster hitting Gennady Golovkin enters as a marginal favourite when he puts his WBA Super, IBF, IBO and WBC middleweight gongs up for tender against Mexican terror Saul Canelo' Alverez in the BoxNation screened shootout on September 16th. But the ace faces of British boxing begged to differ with the bookies when Glynn Evans canvassed the trade ahead of what is surely the Fight of the Year.

Pre Jacobs I was sure Golovkin would win but that fight plus my own eyes telling me his post peak prim has me edging towards Canelo. I think Golovkin must have a lot of wear and tear on him taking into account his amateur fights as well.
I'm going Canelo by hook or by crook - and hope I'm wrong as I like Golovkin more as a fighter.Comment

LMAO! Anthony Joshua has to be the funniest example. He confused GGG with Canelo in regards to the Lara fight lolMan, some of these boxers and trainers really sound biased and like they've never seen either man fight.
I kid you not, someone actually said GGG had never been chin checked, besides Curtis Stevens who never connected well on him.
Another said Alvarez is the hardest puncher Golovkin will have faced to date and should knock him out.
I think even the anti-white/European crowd here on NSB will at least be willing to admit GGG has a iron chin and has been checked several times

i agree, but still amazed me that there was people putting money on him..
from forbes :
McGregor is far and away the fan favorite, and the underdog is generating a flurry of tickets backing him to win. According to ESPN, the UFC star is responsible for 95% of bets at William Hill’s Nevada book, and MGM writes just one Mayweather wager for every 27 it doles out on McGregor.
These are staggering figures, especially considering it is McGregor’s first professional boxing match -- and against arguably the greatest pound-for-pound boxer of all time, with an unblemished 49-0 record. Should McGregor pull off the stunning upset, the sportsbooks will be on the hook for massive losses. William Hill admitted that liability is now “well over” a million dollars for a McGregor victory and is hoping—along with just about every other bookmaker on earth—that a flood of late money pours in on Mayweather.Last edited by icha; 09-13-2017, 11:10 AM.Comment
