While it's probably not the best idea to go head to head with a massive UFC card.. And Alabama college football is apparently really popular in the US??. Change it to another week! Why 2018??

Everything is a rumour until official news is released.. But just like a month ago when reports came out that Wilder vs Ortiz was close finalised and every youtube channel was reporting it like it was officially announced..

The same has happened now with everyone claiming is official for Nov 4th. I told people wait for official new a month ago! Hopefully they still go ahead with November 4th or maybe December.. but wait for official news guys. News relating to Wilder has been proven to be unreliable and unacurate too many times for us to fall for it again.

Many are reporting that this fight is official however according to reports Wilder's team aren't happy with the date Nov 4th. Team Ortiz have spoke out on IG saying they are still waiting for Wilder to sign the contract.

Report: Wilder vs. Ortiz on Nov. 4 in question; spring of 2018 a possibility
      Ryan O'Hara oharaSports Tue, Sep 12 2017

Deontay Wilder will reportedly return to the ring to defend his WBC heavyweight title against Luis Ortiz on Nov. 4 at the Barclays Center in New York, but that is now in question, sources tell FightNights.com.

Although Wilder promoter Lou DiBella, of DiBella Entertainment, has Nov. 4 booked at the Barclays Center, the fight is still not official.

Wilder’s team is reportedly unsatisfied with the date because that is the same day Alabama plays LSU in college football. They fear that more people would rather tune into the football game than boxing. Additionally, the bout would be battling for viewers with UFC 217 taking place right down the street at Madison Square Garden.

Our sources say both sides are still talking, but it appears the bout will take place in the spring of 2018 at the earliest.

Don't forget NSB said over a month ago Wilder vs Ortiz announcment was imminent then Stiverne came out and said he wasn't taking step asside.. NSB are reporting a triple header for Nov 4th but even in thier article they stated its not finalised.

These reports are all rumours regardless if it's from boxingscene or Fightnights.. Wait for official news.. People are saying this fight is official when Ortiz has come out just moments ago and said Wilder hasn't signed the contract so how can it be official.

          FightNights.Com?? ROFL.

Holy cow some of you people are idiots. It's like you leech onto to any BS that confirms your Wilder hate without using your brain even a little. Its not like the Alabama game and UFC 217 were scheduled yesterday. They've been on the schedule for literally months. Why go through an entire negotiation if these were dealbreakers?? You go all the way through the talks and just realize, "wait a minute, does Alabama play that Saturday??"

What a ridiculous load of rubbish. Who has ever heard of this ****e anyways..

No NSB reported the Wilder vs Ortiz fight was finalised and due to be announced imminently.. Stiverne came out later and squashed those reports because he said he wasn't taking step asside.

Also fightnights have done plenty of exclusive interviews with Ortiz and Wilder, one was done just 2 weeks ago so it's not like they don't have contact with these fighters.
