Wilder/Ortiz & Stiverne/Breazeale on the undercard. That is a good night of HW boxing. Stiverne not only got a good payday to step aside he will now have a chance to prove doubters wrong when he fights Breazeale. That is an intriguing matchup & would more than likely put the winner in the mandatory spot. Big risk taken by Stiverne but no tv network wanted to air the rematch so this is his chance to get people considering him again. If he beats Breazeale impressively that can only help his chance for a rematch. This is a big fight for both. The loser of this fight will likely end their hopes of another title shot. Wilder/Ortiz is a huge fight. Ortiz has the goods but has father time caught up with him? Can he take Wilder's right hand? Malik Scott bailed out after 1 round against Wilder while Ortiz went 10 rounds with him. Did Ortiz just simply take it easy to make himself look vulnerable or did he get old overnight? He looked impressive against Thompson & Jennings. What Ortiz will show up?

Sounds like a great night of boxing. I have been (rightfully imo) critical of Wilder, but if he takes this fight and beats Ortiz I will be giving him his full due. Glad that Stiverne/Breazeale will be on this card and televised. I fully expect Breazeale to wipe out Stiverne and take that WBC mandatory position from him, which will make another solid fight for the spring against winner of Wilder/Ortiz. Also get Lipinets/Kondo most likely, which isn't a very good fight, but at least is a decent showcase for Lipinets to win a belt. Hope Jacobs fights someone solid, Andy Lee would be great, but I find that unlikely for a co main, probably will be an easier matchup for Jacobs. I could see Gabe Rosado or Antione Douglas. Matt Korobov another guy that I would be happy to see Jacobs in with.
My only disappointment is that it looks like the Miller/Kownacki fight won't be happening, which is a real shame because that is a great, HW action fight between 2 Brooklyn fighters. Would have made all the sense in the world to put it on this card, oh well, still shaping up to be a great night of boxing. I do wonder though, how much the Alabama/LSU game will impact the viewership from Wilder's home fan base. CFB is king in the south and that game is always one of the biggest every year. Hopefully they start this card late enough so that the main event doesn't begin until after that game ends.

Let's see what happens with this Wilder-Ortiz fight. Both have been inactive for some time so it would be interesting to see who shakes off the ring rust first.

Fans will definitely demand the winner of that bout to fight one of the champions, or rather, will demand one of the champions fight the winner of Jacobs/Charlo.
But I think Jacobs won't want to fight another power puncher so soon after Golovkin, especailly one as just as big as he is but more vicious, with a much better chin too.

Would have been a nice fight three years ago. Ortiz is old now and looks to be off whatever was making him so explosive before. When Malik Scott lasts 12 rounds with you, not sure you're a top heavyweight anymore.
Who is Jacobs fighting? I hope it's not a one-sided matchup. Jacobs-Charlo would be great. Or Lemieux. Or Deryvanchenko.
