Comments Thread For: Canelo: I'm Prepared to Look to Knock Out Golovkin!

LAS VEGAS Canelo Alvarez reiterated Tuesday that he doesn't want his fight against Gennady Golovkin to go to the scorecards. Golovkin has knocked out 89 percent of his professional opponents. Alvarez, however, is motivated to become not just the first fighter to defeat Golovkin, but to knock out one of boxing's most punishing punchers Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena.

Going to be two boxers being very cautious about engaging, looking for counters with a lot of movement. Yet the promotion is trying to sell the fight as Hagler Hearn

I'd be prepared to "look" for a knockout too. That wouldn't stop him from ripping my jaw off though.

Its gonna be a slow deliberate counter fest early. If there's a beatdown it'll be in the 2nd half

I slightly favor Canelo, I actually think Golovkin will be a good style for him offensively..... if he survives, he will win

but I would not bet a dollar on that fight, or any similar fight

in saying that, I would not be surprised if Canelo won by TKO

those 36yo legs are not accustomed to going 12 HARD rounds..... it will be intense, and energy sapping...... Golovkin will miss a lot of punches, and cop a lot of that nasty bodywork..... G-man is tough, but boxing is a young mans game

Canelo UD12 in a tough/close, possibly controversial, fight

Exactly neither guy is going to be dumb enough to brawl with the other so it's going to be tactical. Canelo by decision is looking like easy money at 2-1 odds.

Yeah, I believe so too. This might turn into a chess match instead of a checkers game.

I'm going with Canelo if it goes 12, If it's going to be a T(KO), it would be in G's Favorite.

Canela couldn't KO Jr, Cotto, Lara or Trout. I don't know where he thinks he is going to KO a bigger man
