About 3/4 weeks ago Pulev posted a Facebook comment complaining about his promoter taking this fight when he wasn't ready for it. He deleted the comment soon after.

Pulev is a good boxer. Not pretty to watch but very effective. The pressure got to him against Wlad and he fought a ****** fight. The pressure is on him again now. That FB post doesn't bode well for his chances.

He had no choice, it's an IBF mandatory.

It was either fight Pulev or get stripped. It was part of the deal to allow him to fight Klitschko then right after fight Pulev next.

It's a bit poor this is how it's being translated, what he meant was the event (80k stadium fight) not fighting another boxer. When have ever heard of an Eastern European boxer of the callibre of Pulev being terrified. He's a top 5 HW and has been for years.

but he was talking about dropping the belt anyways if he could fight Klitschko....well I guess it means something to him, I'm not really mad he has to fight Ortiz next right? then he has the IBO too...hmm..when is he going to fight Deontay the 'Bronze-Bomber' Wilder? Hey you think that if Wilder beats his mandatory Ortiz we can see that fight sooner? I hope so, that would be great, lets hope he wont pick David Haye after all those mandatories tho.

I hope so. I'm waiting to hear when Wilder and Ortiz are fighting, I know November 4th has been mentioned. It's September 12th though and still no word on it. It may get pushed to a later date perhaps since they are still negotiating.

I'm a little nervous for Wilder but I believe he will get through Ortiz and beat him.

And yes 2018 is the year to make the Joshua-Wilder fight.

It has to happen next year. If not, I'll be pissed as a boxing fan.

Agreed, I think Wilder is being smart by fighting Ortiz first. I expect him to put the old man away. He'll have some solid buzz and more leverage at the negotiating table with AJ.

The more I think on it, AJ v. Wilder feels like a 50-50 fight. I'm at 60 - 40 right now. But the tape on AJ is causing some concerns for me. He's definitely there for a few right hands.

I'm more concerned with AJ's stamina.

Myself, I would favor AJ at the moment in that match up.

They both can knock each other out no doubt. I just think AJ's big punches will get to Wilder first before Wilder's big punches get to AJ due to being technically more sound and fundamental with his punches.
