Golovkin is dangerous early and mid fight. Past 8 he will not pose a KO threat. Canelo isn't Jacobs. However Canelo will land and land early and often enough to discourage Golovkin much like Jacobs.

It seems like you're only looking at the fight from the perspective of Golovkins strengths.

Canelo has always been able to bully the smaller guy (yes, GGG too) so it will be interesting to see how Canelo reacts to someone who can take his punch and punch harder than anyone he's faced.

      Chavez - lazy
      Liam - small
      Khan - super small
      Cotto - past prime
Kirkland - no wolf and 15 month inactivity

Kirkland might be the biggest puncher he's faced and I think he actually stunned Canelo once.
Obviously Mayweather trumps Jacobs. But Erislandy Lara was also a big win for him. And Austin Trout had just schooled Cotto when Canelo beat him.

I don't think it's really debatable who has faced the better opposition.

He NEVER talks a bout boxing or anything if value. He just attacks ppl that knows he was a JOKE and exposed him. He's a lot careful now though... He now claims he's Hispanic??? Yet I have NEVER seen a Hispanic pull the grammar police on a boxing site like he has 2x on me??? *** that COWARD

My God what is wrong with you ******s? I don't know who this Maxi guy is but damn he must be the boogieman to you Golovkin haters. It is actually pathetic that you guys constantly cry "alt". As soon as you look dumb you start crying "alt" like you were crying "uncle".

Sorry to break your heart lil' Robbie I'm not your boyfriend Maxipad. You can find him somewhere else.

Well that is why sir I'm betting big on Golovkin. I clearly favor Golovkin. I'm feeling this is a 75/25% fight.

I think Canelo is a very good fighter but I've never seen a Canelo fight and thought I was watching a special fighter. I think he does many good things but like most things in life and sports I think the truly greats have something that they do at an elite level. Your bread and butter.

I think to beat Golovkin at MW right now you better be elite in some facet of your game. I just can't see the Canelo I've been watching for years now beating GGG. But what's great is Canelo is going to have his chance. If he does props to him.

I do not think Canelo will have the pop over the course of the fight to keep Golovkin off him. I don't think Golovkin will be reckless like he was against Brook but I think he'll be closer to that than he was against Jacobs. I don't think he is going to fear Canelo's power.

            Can't wait!

He won't fear it. But he will respect it. No one feared Mayweathers power, but they all respected it. Pain is pain. I'd say power that puts 154 pound guys down for good is enough to make a 160 not wanna get hit. We will certainly find out in less than a week.

Those two guys schooled Canelo, and you're using them as examples? Funny how everyone mentions Floyd like it was a victory..
Maybe GGG fans should mention all the champs, Martinez et al who avoided GGG?
