He should get his last belt. Take an easy fight then look to break Hopkins record. That seems to be the obvious route to take.

No somewhat about it. Sturm, Martinez, Barker, Geale, Quillin, and of course, Canelo last year, were all world MW champions who refused to fight GGG.

If he destroys Canelo and proves he isn't over the hill after all, there is probably only BJS at 160 who would have the balls to fight him now.

Golovkin (37-0, 33 KOs), who has been middleweight champion since 2010, is five days away from his 19th consecutive title defense one short of the all-time record against lineal and Ring Magazine Middleweight World Champion and Mexican icon Alvarez (49-1-1, 34 KOs). Canelo vs. Golovkin is the long-awaited showdown to determine supremacy of the storied middleweight division and arguably the pound-for-pound rankings.

but now..... now it is all Oscar's fault, and Canelo ALWAYS wanted the fight

If so, why did Jermall move up and immediately fought to become mandatory instead of fighting meaningless fights at 160 in order to "acclimate" himself to the weight? Unlike Lara, Jermall actually did some concrete actions in order to get GGG or at least the WBC belt. Don't you think Jacobs would take the rematch. Hell, Lemieux would take a rematch (and he would still lose). Like I said, right now, the pool of possible opponents is bigger than it used to be.

That poor lame guy who Charlo beat had been GGG's mandatory for 2 years without fighting him! Yes, Lemieux would fight GGG again, but few would want to see it.

Jacobs is happy enough to have gotten himself a good pay check without getting KO'd. I don't think he is in any hurry at all to chance his luck with GGG again. Unless GGG struggles against Canelo. In that case, they will all be clamouring to fight him next.

Now explain where he said Charlo is not an option. Billy Joe Saunders is next. GGG's goal was always to unify. Once Canelo is done BJS is next. Then we will see how things go. Only dumba$$ mofos like you can see a guy beat Jacobs, beat Canelo and beat Billy Joe Saunders in one year and still have a reason to b!tch.

Oh **** off. It was a close fight. GGG dropped him, was moving forward the entire fight, landed more punches, was more accurate. He won the fight. It was close. Stop whining.

They can wait their turn or earn their place. GGG did so. Why can't they?

I dont know i respect ggg and I get he cares about the belts but i cant be the only one who wonders how he would do against the best at 168 or even higher its not like hes immune to putting on weight even tho he makes 160 fairly easy
After Canelo its going to be Billy Joe Saunders. After that who knows. I would like Charlo to get a shot. I also wouldn't mind if GGG gave up some of the belts after unifying (like Crawford did) so that he doesn't get tied up in pointless mandatories and could pick his opposition. Maybe then we can see a fight with Lara if he ever decides to stop hiding at 154. Of course you have to assume a rematch with Canelo would in the offing at some point as well.

I wouldn't mind seeing him make his way up to 168 by this time next year though. Maybe a Mexican independence day matchup with Gilberto Ramierez.
