Kind of an odd sentence, as it assumes that Golovkin WILL fight Canelo on the inside, and will thererfore get stopped late.

Firstly, Golovkin would be an idiot to step into Canelo's wheelhouse (the inside) and fight him there. If he does that, he deserves to lose as he plays to all of Canelo's advantages.

Golovkin's ideal distance is a half step further away from Canelo than Canelo's ideal, so Canelo needs to force that half-step, ie consistently get past the jab into his own ideal distance where he holds the aces over Golovkin in hand-speed.

But to force the distance, Canelo needs to get past Golovkin's jab and have nifty footwork. He's not known for having nifty footwork or getting past jabs, so not sure he can apply the pressure to force the distance he wants.

More likely Canelo falls back to the ropes and hopes Golovkin follows him in to get the distance he wants, then up to Golovkin how he manages that (and my money is that he's been training for how to tackle Canelo on the ropes more than any other thing).

He will fight at a distance, and pressure intelligently, like he did Lemieux. As for the fight against Monroe, GGG had no need to be careful, therefore Willie had a couple of good sequences, but still got crushed in the end in 6, winning only 1 round on one of the cards. So...
