Why so emotional? I'm strictly talking boxing here. Your post seems like you took it personal. What I said would be agreed upon even by RG fans.
Point out facts = emotional. Sorry, I offended you but I thought you might need a hand in where you went wrong in your argument and to also remind you that you're supposed to get wiser with age.

Roy was 35-year-old Light Heavy Weight.

    Roman is a 30-year-old Flyweight.

    Practically the same thing.

I shouldn't have to explain the difference and similarities between the two for a guy posting on a boxing forum for the past decade.

The bias and envy of some of the posters on the forum but none of the OG's can match you Kev.
Seriously, I can barely even respond to the dumbassness of that post. Spoken like a true casual.

        A Division too High

What went wrong is he moved up to a a division in which he was too small for. Once he moved into superflyweight his punches had no effect on the bigger guys and the bigger guys punches had an effect on him. It was obvious in his first fight at superfly against Cuadras.

Just look at SplitSeconds avi and see how solid he looks compared to now. His face is fat and puffy and didn't react well to punishment.

And I'm sure the Cuadras fight had him 2nd guessing his career as a boxer because that was a hellish fight that took a toll on Gonzales.

The problem with most posters on this site is they only judge a fighter based on the part of their career they saw on American TV,

So for many of them, Roman's first 40 fights don't count.
Agreed. The Cuadras fight took Romans resistance on the face. He looked like the Banana man after the end of the fight. And then tje first Rungvaisai fight was a body snatching fest and both didnt break down. Rungvaisai spent his whole career on mismatches and Roman was coming off of a Banana man face fixing therapy against Cuadras and was trading body Surgery with The Rungvaisai fight, and with Rungvaisai being the fresher, younger, bigger fighter and roman being the smaller, older and wartorn fighter, broke down physically.

Yes, he did look bad. He seemed slower and more reluctant to engage. It seemed as though Sor Rung was very relaxed and Gonzales's punches weren't having a lot of effect on him. On the other hand, RG seemed to be really bothered by Rung's power.

I don't know if it was theweight factor or if Gonzales is just shot..., or maybe a combination of the two.

Gonzalez lost because he couldn't adapt. He was getting washed in almost all 4 rounds. He was doing nothing different, going out there doing the same thing, blocking with his face. He couldn't adapt, fought like a dumbass and got dropped like a dumbass. Or should I say "warrior", sorry.

My initial post was exactly what happened. Even P4P #1 Andre Ward said it apparently, RG could not adapt. But you know more than him though, you go girl.

Floyd just took the shot better. If Mosley dropped Floyd as hard as Roman got dropped. Floyd wouldn't have made it out of the round either.

He has never been my cup of tea, but to pretend that slick boxing skills are the only kind of skills in boxing is ignorant of what makes up the sport.

His balance, and punch selection and ability to always get going was something nobody else in the sport had the ability to do.
He didnt just get caught, he was done well before, I had called it that he was going to get ko'd very soon after the body punishment he was taking. I was actually surprised he took as many bodyshots as he did, he was in very good shape, but he was visibly slowed and weakened and hurt to the body that it was just a matter of time once rungvisai went upstairs.

He was far to reckless trying to hurt rungvisai, if he at least went to the body with him they would drag each other down.

He was sort of a one trick pony, only knew one way to fight. Don't get me wrong, it was a hell of a way to fight, but that style was going to eventually fail him horribly against a tougher guy who could take it and throw it right back.

Bullish_t, what happened is he has a basic and primitive style of boxing, a defense free, come forward, block punches with his face, brawler not boxer. If he fails to adjust then get starched
