in his 48th fight he finally finds someone who conclusively beat him, after beating numerous world class fighters and being the main man in the lower weight classes for many years= SCAM, EXPOSED, CON ARTIST, HBO HYPEJOB.Comment

I think that's too harsh.
Honestly that's why boxing is so internationally popular, it's not like NBA where you almost always have to be an athletic giant to play. In boxing the smaller people have a chance at making some money. I criticize them just like you, but eliminating those weight classes is too much imo.Comment

I said it at the time and ill say it again. He was no.1 P4P by default in a pretty weak era.
His competition at the time was pretty much just Kovalev and Ward. Ward was only just on the comeback trail, Kovalev has lost twice in a row just like RG, though unlike RG it wasnt in his 4th division.
So those saying 'he should never have been P4P no.1' need to remember the landscape at the time. Saying he wasnt on the level of Floyd, RJJ, Sweat Pea and the likes is just pointless. They werent around at that time.
What we can say for sure is that he has been the top dog in the lower weights for nearly a decade, with a fine list of champions left in his wake, 4 weight class titles in his locker, and some extremely entertaining fights to boot.
Sad that people need to disrespect a great fighter like Gonzalez to score petty internet points. No doubt he will be in the HoF one day so it doesnt matter too muchComment

Which makes what Rungvisai did that much more impressive.
He was very sound defensively for a pressure fighter that throws the volume he does, the combinations he does. He has excellent head movement, constantly rolling and slipping shots and catching them with his shoulders and solid footwork which allowed him to glide in and out.
Chavez Sr? No but he's probably been the damn closest thing we've seen since.Comment

That's about the size of an ideal woman.
Grown men smaller than that should consider playing golf.Comment
