Chocolatito looked incredibly bad from the opening bell, but regardless this was a shocking result IMO. Really huge surprise how this went down. I think maybe father time's just caught up to Gonzalez here.

He's got a lot of wars under his belt. Legendary fighter.

    Credit to Sor Rung.

Yeah, he also looked really depressed before the fight. Like he was thinking about his long time trainer that past away a few months ago.

I hope that Rungvisai doesnt have the same thing happening that Buakaw had once in his career.. management and gym took pretty much all of his money for most of his career, Buakaw said he was very anxious and felt very sad about it but couldnt do much, its quite common in Thailand unfortunately. Gyms dont necessarily take payment of the training or equipment but they put their name on the fighter (Like Buakaw Por Pramuk, nowadays he is just with his real name, Buakaw Banchamek) but take their purse money or at least most of it.

Dont know if thats the case with Rungvisai and I really hope its not. Im very glad that Buakaw got out of that and is making his own money nowadays

Well, they need serious lesson in international etiquette . You don't get welcomed to foreign soil and shove a portrait of your King/Dictator in everyone's face, as if they're supposed to honor him .

You can display your flag, you may even get to have your anthem sung. But to display a portrait of the "great honorable leader"...is stretching things a bit too far .

Contra I loved K1 back in the days because i was training Muay Thai.

Buakaw, Masato, Bonjasky, Souwer, Genki Sudo (what a funny character), Mushashi, Kid Yamamoto, Saenchai (outside K1). It were good days, now all this is almost dead. Glad to see there's some fans of MT here, it's great but for me in terms of watching it and in its history nothing compares to boxing

Disturbed Yeah that's sad, as you say let's hope that Rungvisai is in a good situation. BTW Banchamek it's not his real name, it's also a gym, but this one seems more fair with him than the old one.

SHO_RULEZ Better to do that in USA before not doing it and returning to Thailand haha

Shame what happened K-1. Its still alive but its... its not what it used to be, not even close. Doesnt have nearly the same feeling or same kind of shows they used to have.

No, no, no! I was just training Muay Thai in the gym like anyone xD And after that i watched these guys fighting on the TV

Yes and i don't think it would return to be what it was, because the UFC now it's too big to let something asides from boxing get attention.

Heh, I misread a bit, but still, its good to see some other peole here in this forum who like kickboxing / MT. Good stuff! While MMA was the first thing I trained of combat sports, kickboxing for me was the very first I got excited about as a very young kid :P

Cant wait to see more of Rungvisai, exciting guy to watch. Some good potential match ups for him in the future... Inoue or Estrada matches would be great!
