25 Pounds is not a joke, skill for skill Kovalev outboxed Ward in the first fight, Ward finally came back to the roots in the 2nd fight and roughed up Kovalev to win the fight, he will never be able to do this against Usyk or any good cruiserweight. Usyk is a very complicated huge fighter who Ward MUST try to rough up to win and he won't be able to do it because of size and skill. Plus that 200 lbs power is a different ball game, plus Ward will be slower and he'll be exhausted midway through the fight carrying all that unnecessary muscle weight. This man started out as a middleweight. Makes no sense to fight at cruiserweight especially against a guy as skilled as Usyk.

yeah like how kovalev frustrated ward to the point where he started fouling over and over
Do not underestimate how good and skilled Kov is!

He maybe one dimensionsal but he's great at that one dimension of his game!

Ward faced a bigger man with one of the best jabs in the sport along with being one of hardest punchers as well!

That would be like Usyk moving up to fight a prime Wlad!

Wards movements is what kept him from getting KO'd and as well as being position to land his own shots so not sure what you were watching!

Wards footwork was key in beating Kov in the rematch! Him landing that legendary right hand to make the kov do the Russian shuffle was because he was in great position to which all stems from footwork and using the ring!

Usyk is a very good fighter but Ward is greatness and he would show Usyk a thing or two in the ring!

After the fight Usyk would thank Ward for the boxing lesson he was given!

        • Ward schools the Ukrainian and shows him there are levels as a competitor!

Ward will pull out every trick in the book and Usyk would be befuddled by how much will an skill one man has in Andre Ward!

          • Usyk too skilled for Ward's bull****. He would box his head off, Ward talks a heavyweight comeback because he wants to fight uncoordinated muhfuccas.

He fought a contender for a vacant belt and avoided facing Breidis for a reason. There's a massive difference between a small and chinny Makabu who was already knocked out by a journeyman and Usyk.
Bellew is also a big CW that fought at HW in the amateurs he's a lot better at CW as its his natural weight class. Did you ever see Bellew on the scales at LHW? The only other fighter I've seen that drained was Brandon Rios.
He was like a corpse on the scales the weight cut clearly took everything out of him chin, power included

              • Ward beats this bum with one fkn hand, are you people serious? This guy is another hyped up Ukrainian fraud who fought a bigger bum last weekend and his best win is against the super bum marco huck...come one man don't even mention this fraud in the same sentence as ward.

Usyk has the far superior movement to Ward and it's not even close. Usyk had jet lag in a foreign territory and that's why his performance wasn't as good as it could've been but he would literally do to Ward what Lomachenko did to Rigondeaux if he's at peak physical condition.
After Usyk handles his business in the finals which I'm confident he will (he just beat the best fighter he could possibly fight) we'll see when Ward comes knocking on his door.

When did Ward ever 'knock on anyone's door'? Since last time I checked, he never fought a single top opponent outside of USA (his home country)?

Let us know if Ward is willing to come to Ukraine and fight Usyk who will becomes the one to dictate terms and conditions if he wins, thus being the A side boxer. Otherwise, Ward doesn't deserve to fight Usyk because he is unworthy and has to earn that worth first.

Till then, Usyk is going to be the one who is going to be knocking on Anthony Joshua's door in UK for an even bigger fight.
