  • Comments Thread For: Caleb Plant Picks Apart Andrew Hernandez, Wins Wide Decision

Caleb Plant impressed in his Showtime debut Friday night. The super middleweight prospect kept his unblemished record intact by dominating late replacement Andrew Hernandez in a 10-round, 168-pound bout at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The 25-year-old Plant, of Ashland City, Tennessee, thoroughly out-classed Hernandez on his way to winning a unanimous decision in the first of three fights Showtime televised as part of a "ShoBox: The New Generation" tripleheader.

Not very impressed with Plant, or his shrieking girlfriend.

I'm ready to see Plant in there with a real competitor. I think he's very skilled and talented. I understand the need to move guys slowly and build them up but I can't see why he's fighting opponents off the couch with 1 week notice at this point. Surly they can find an opponent early enough to properly train next time.

Then again Quillin did the same thing. His opponent was announced like three days ago. Maybe it's the PBC way

Plant has SUBLIME skills and ability. Lacks power and that killer instinct though. Idc I'm fully on the bandwagon and I'm riding with him whomever he fights.

He from my neck of the woods, so I'll support him. He's skilled, has fast hands, and he's good defensively. That said, I'm not sold on him, nor was I impress with his performance last night

You can't showboat against a guy of Hernandez's caliber. Especially when he was literally sitting on his couch a week ago without a fight scheduled. Without rubbing some people the wrong way.
