Yup. Plant faced a guy who was a current couch potato and 2 divisions north of his own weight class and still could not perform. I think he gets beat up as soon as he fights a top 20 guy

Plant has solid skills for sure but he doesn't do anything that really sets himself apart from other guys on his level. Last night, he thoroughly outboxed and outclassed Hernandez but didn't do so in impressive fashion. There really isn't a good excuse as to why Plant carried his opponent through 10 rounds without scoring a knockout.

You can't showboat against a guy of Hernandez's caliber. Especially when he was literally sitting on his couch a week ago without a fight scheduled. Without rubbing some people the wrong way.

Fair criticism. I think considering the circumstances of the fight, he could definitely carry himself a bit better. His opponent wasn't even of high quality either...
