But the purse bid only determines the base salary of the fighter and who promotes the event (determines the date and site of the fight). Everything else still needs to be negotiated including PPV splits if the fight is to be PPV.

Whoever wins the purse bid keeps all the money you tard. The fighters get their split of the winning bid, that's all. Purse bids are also open to any promoter not just the 2 fighters promoters.

Hilarious this guy is trying to discuss financials of boxing and doesn't know how a purse bid works.

GGG haters already been lured here LoL.
GGG clearly dominated that guy, but we know acc. to some racist blacks, black boxers don't lose, they get robbed.
Why they don't stress the fac that Canelo lost to Floyd, and SD with Lara and Trout?
They talk as if both were Gods, but thanks to Jacobs we found out GGG isn't a god but Canelo is still a god. ha haha h

Please you ****tard. I know how purse bids work. The two sides have X amount of days to negotiate the fight. If they can't come to an agreement on the fight or to extend negotiations with the sanctioning bodies approval then the fight goes to a purse bid in which anyone has the opportunity to bid on the fight. The winning bidder gets to promote the fight with the funds from the purse bid being split between the two fighters according to the rules established by the sanctioning body. The winning bidder then promotes the fight.

Purse bids don't determine anything else. "peeleft:

It determines the winning promoter gets all the rights for the fight, that means all the TV rights/PPV too.

Which is why big fights rarely go to purse bids.

little g is full of **** and i see theyre still crying about jacobs fight night weight. wait till they see canelo rehydrated lol..

and the reason this fight took so long is because little g refused to accept his role as the b side and thought he could actually call shots on canelo.

but none of that matters cuz canelo is gonna massacre little g and flatline him in the late rounds. but of course they'll give canelo no credit they'll say he waited til ggg got old.

little g better buy a tuxedo for that coffin.
It's funny that they still talk about Jacobs's weight for that fight when he wasn't completely obligated to follow the rules of the IBF. He was the contender for the WBA title not the IBF so if he didn't want to adhere to those rules, he didn't have to.

Looks like the delusion that usually comes from Fable Sanchez has rubbed off on Golovkin.

Yea but it doesn't determine the terms of the PPV splits. If K2 won the purse bid they couldn't just say GGG gets 99.9% of the PPV purse and leave Canelo with no recourse but to suck it up. Get the **** out of here dude.
