    just what we needed

    another ignorant piece-of-shht

Part of the deal set forth, and agreed to by everyone involved, stipulated that if no agreement was reached, then a purse bid would be set. And instead of the standard 75/25 split in favor of the defending champion, in this case, it was set at 55/45 because of Golovkin’s standing as the WBC interim champion.....

And right here may have been the biggest problem.

55/45 was simply way too much risk for not nearly enough reward for GBP and Canelo (and, quite frankly, not fair to this side).

FACT: after vacating the WBC title, Canelo instructed his team to continue negotiating with Team Golovkin..... but Team Golovkin still categorically refused to negotiate on weight, killing the discussion

But this is all deflection. The fact is there was an offer there before Golovkin fought Jacobs. If Golovkin would have accepted the fight would have still happened regardless of if he had KO'd Jacobs or not.
It is a double standard. GGG's team didn't take Golden Boy's ***** offer because they felt they were leaving a lot of money on the table. Canelo gave up his belt like a little b!tch because he didn't want GGG to get as much as he would as the mandatory if it went to a purse bid. Same ****ing rational. Two different fighters but you only blame GGG like a true hater.

The fact of the matter is that GGG deserved more than what Golden Boy initially offered him. For a so called star Canelo Alvarez needs another big name fighter in the opposite corner to generate a lot of PPVs. The Miguel Cotto fight almost generated as many PPV purchases as the Erislandy Lara, Alfredo Angulo and Liam Smith PPVs combined.

So Canelo pulled out because of money and wanting to weight drain GGG like a little b!tch. GGG held the line got his fight, got his money and didn't have to agree to a catchweight. A brilliant man once called that....

              what utter nonsense

FACT: Golovkin could have taken the 10mil

he could also have decided to be a man of his word and negotiate on weight
He did negotiate on weight and he won that part of the negotiations. He just said no to fighting at a lower weight. The fight is at 160. He probably didn't get all he wanted in the financial end but that's how these things work.

                • Excellent, keep yapping and underestimating Canelo so the next excuse will be,"if we'd KO'd Canelo then Saunders wouldn't fight us or Charlo or a 168 pounder" SMFH

The most dangerous thing is a man that's been humiliated and very motivated and Canelo is currently both right now!

                  Gonna be a great fight!

Just because GGG was guaranteed 45% of the purse bid it didn't mean he was guaranteed 45% of the PPV split as well. So there was still things to negotiate out and Canelo could have worked out a favorable PPV split. But no, he used GGG's cut of the purse bid as one of his excuses not to take the fight.
There is no negotiating when it comes to a purse bid...and they had to agree to terms 15 days after the Khan fight or a purse bid would be ordered. That simple.
