I like both dudes but I think I'm leaning more towards canelo winning a decision and ggg getting painted up more than the jacobs fight. I think Canelo will avoid a lot of gggs punch with his great upper body movement. The tide can turn on either end depending on who can land the better body shots, so ggg has a chance with that. But Id like Jacobs to fight the winner unless he gets another fight locked in.
Jacobs won't be able to fight either guy unless he fights and beats Jermall Charlo as Charlo is rated above him in the WBC...

Wait...Canelo said he don't want the WBC belt so fat chance of him fighting either Charlo or Jacobs, and regardless if Golovkin wins or loses, he won't give Jacobs a rematch.

That fight was not close. Jacobs not only got out landed in 9 rounds, tied one. GGG knocked him down, chased him backwards all night, hurt him multiple times, and landed with far more authority. By all measures he wins.

Jacobs never did anything near to putting ggg in trouble. He just survived.

At least Trout admits his bias for Jacobs. It's absurd to think Jacobs slaps on the gloves and shoulders of ggg were anywhere nest enough to give him the 7 rounds he needs.

This is How GGG haters Score his fights

GGG didn't KO Jacobs in round 1--Jacobs wins

They did that in ever round ggg didn't dominate.

They think Jacobs should pick up rounds because ggg failed to do something, never acknowledging that Jacobs failed even worse. He never hurt ggg enough to stun him, not the same with ggg.

GGG had rounds where he doubled the landing output, while Jacobs had two rounds and each by two lands.

By pure round basis ggg easily landed harder more impactful shots, while the majority of what Jacobs through was wild slaps.

Jacobs was hoping to survive and get a home Ring favor.

He didn't win on merits, anything he prevented ggg from doing, ggg prevented Jacobs from doing only better.

Jacobs didn't come close to winning. He needed 7 rounds, he should get 2.

I don't think most peoples concerns about it are that black and white.

There's different degrees of possible corruption with each person involved, and when the house fighter is the cash cow, you know as well as I do, that the deck is going to be stacked in his favor.

I doubt that even 1 out of 10 hardcore boxing fans would say that GGG could win a even semi-close decision.

Though most of us know full well that the game is rigged, we still tune in because 99% of the time they're still really fighting.

hmm I have to disagree man. Jacobs clearly won like 4-5 rounds and the other rounds were give and take. but i remember watching rounds 5 and 6 thinking damn ggg got touched up. but it was a close fight after seeing it a second time.

Neither ggg or Canelo owe Charlo anything. Especially ggg, who had to wait his whole career to jabs big fights.

Brooks did more damage in his few minutes of success than Danny did in 12. Danny through with little conviction and spent 3/4 the fight surviving.

Every punch is recorded in thus video. Over the 12 rounds it's clear that this fight wasn't that close at all. Danny gamed the system, came in huge, but failed to take advantage. He though those week flashy combos were gonna score. Danny wore glasses to hide the damage. GGG looked better than after Brook.

This is exactly how I see it. Can't believe Canelo is the betting underdog. Bet on him winning by decision NOW, he's not getting knocked out and as long as it's competitive to where you can argue him winning, he's going to get the nod for sure.

Mayweather totally dominated and embarrassed Canelo for at least 10 rounds. And one judge still gave Canelo the win. That is the worst scorecard in at least a decade. Also, Canelo got some very favorable scoring against Lara and Cotto. So I see the cause for concern. Though G, also was the recipient of some questionable scoring in his only pro fight against a top tier opponent.

Canelo will do enough to win with fair scoring, but the scores will probably still be way off. Just like the Cotto fight, Canelo deserved the win, but did not deserve 10 or 11 rounds. It will be the same. G has shied away from any challenge for too long. He doesn't think he can win a big fight; that will happen when your promoter and trainer don't think you can handle the best and hurry to make fights against guys like Wade. If your team still has you fighting Wade at 34 years old, that shows they have no confidence in you. G knows this, he is already beat mentally.

I don't see why so many assume Canelo won't fight the best. Canelo fought Trout and Lara. If you fight two top, elite opponents who have no name and no fan base that is proof you will take on the best. This is Canelo's first fight at 160. I know he fought Chavez at 164, but come on, that was freakin Chavez Jr. Canelo has one of the best resumes in boxing and he is only 27. Personally, I do not like him at all, but he has shown more cahones than most boxers ever do.
