In my opinion, he knows it isn't about being P4P or even winning this thing. It's all about money. Let's be real. He's been chasing Canelo for a while now for that big payday, and at 35 years old, he's going to be the biggest money draw for him at this point in his career. He's saying all this to sell the fight as much as he can, which I'm sure and hoping that it will live up to the hype. GGG has nothing to lose, really. If he wins, all other boxers he faces still won't draw as much money. If he loses......same thing. Either way, he finally gets his deserved payday.

Great response from ggg, and he is correct about whats really more important. P4p order varies with everyone. Ggg could win against canelo and there still will be people who won't even rank him in their p4p because who knows why. Ggg ready for a fight, i cant wait!

The only p4p that seems semi credible is boxrec type p4p where a computer has a set in stone formula that awards points based on important factors such as strength of competition,& how clearly they beat said competition,it updates every day,& if a fighters opponent gains or loses points since they fought then it gains or loses said fighter points also regardless if said fighters fought since then. Its kindve like the bcs computer used to rate college football teams,it was far from perfect but its a hell of a lot more objective than a human can ever be,& in boxing it works way better. Plenty of peeps on here shît on certain fighters records through sheer bias but its no surprise to me that the current boxrec p4p is far less bias than every other p4p with a few discrepancies like jeff horn at #7 but even then it makes sense because he beat Pacquiao undeserved or not which instantly is a bigger win than many current p4p because pac himself has a atg record.
People will always hate on certain fighters but the top p4p fighters on boxrec definitely deserve their ranking & its funny that canelo gets hated on but hes been ranked #1 p4p for a reason as he has been more active than Ward whos #3 & has fought many more top ranked opponents since a very young age than #2 Crawford that all should & does count.
Peeps instantly anoint there favs #1 p4p status like Ward(who im a big fan of) but even thats biased because he was very inactive for a while & doesn't have a huge amount of fights vs opponents with great resumes who were ranked highly by computer when he fought them.
Bottom line is the boxrec computer seems to be the most legit unbiased p4p despite certain discrepancies such as not having chocolatito ranked p4p because he lost his last fight to a very low ranked opponent(low based on resume) & rigo because he only has 17 fights,it also costs points if fighter has few kos/tkos. Every other p4p list is based on complete bias this is the only 1 with a set in stone formula.
This is boxrec computer rules:

GGG: "maybe last five years I destroy my opponents, and Canelo did the same."
Maybe he did, but not Canelo. Canelo looked 100% pathetic vs. Mayweather Jr., and he did look pathetic at times vs. Lara and Cotto, to a lesser degree. Trout also dominated him at times. So, when Canelo has faced somebody who has been really a challenge, he has not "destroyed" anyone. IMO GGG is the most dangerous fighter he has ever faced. So probably we will see Canelo on the canvas by a KD for the first time, and a KO by stoppage can even happen as well.
