He's my guy, but these remarks definitely make him sound worried. You didn't hear any of this when he was fighting Hatley.

He better bring it, or Lubin will school him.

He seems too self-entitled. Not many people even know who he is. At this stage, he should fight whoever is in front of him, and earn his stripes. He hasn't done much of note up to this point.

I know it's not cool to say boxers are scared, but Jermell sounds too concerned about fighting Lubin.

This will be the best fight on the card. I have Lubin winning in a war.

Lol. Charlo has not faced a single A-side opponent his entire career, but he thinks he's some star now that should be calling shots? He's not on Cotto's level. Just because Haymon set him up for a title doesn't make him some star. He doesn't have any resumé at all except B-level opponents. This is what people mean when they talk about Haymon fighters. Racial fans want to say "you just don't like them because they're black," but it's the opposite, it's because these Haymon fighters often represent some of the worst characteristics of rich, entitled white people. They are entitled. Their manager puts everything on a silver platter for them, and then just because they walk through the wide open doors that he opens for them, they suddenly think they're superstars and they did it all by themselves. Did what? He hasn't even faced a top 5 opponent in his division, or any division, in his entire career, maybe not even top 10, but he's actually talking about who "deserves" to face him and that he's a star. Are you kidding me? This is why people don't like Haymon fighters, and I was actually starting to like Jermell after an interview I watched of him yesterday where he talked about how he and his brother are willing to fight anybody and be true champions or something, but here comes an article a day later with quotes that basically contradict that.

So it's no mystery. If people want to know why Haymon fighters don't get as much love as GGG or Lomachenko, it's right here, in this article.

Really don't matter honestly the fight is happening! Him asking that is not "FEAR" but like some on this forum have posted maybe he thinks it is too soon for Lubin as well

I personally think Belt Organizations need Round Robin Tournament Eliminators among contenders! I don't know how Amir Imam became WBC #1 Contender at 140. Don't know how Lucas Matthysse became WBO #1 Contender . Actually I do, their promoters PURCHASE their positions!

Charlo is right. Don't get me wrong, I really like this fight and I'm glad to see Lubin is willing to fight the top guys already. I know Lubin is supposed to be the next big thing, and I like him, I really do, but he has fought no one of any worth as a pro. That is the sad and simple truth. Tyson paid the ABC organization to get this blue chip prospect a title fight already. Its too early for him though, Charlo will beat him on points with a steady jab. Also, Charlo has not exactly faced murderers row either, but he did have a win over Martiyorsan before he got a title shot. Which is still probably his best win.
