I think she only has one opponent in her division on mma so it makes sense to go to boxing because there's quite a few heavy girls. (UFC only has like three women's divisons)

LMFAO, but yea the UFC 145lb division is Cyborg & the last girl she fought or the next girl she'll fight probably. That division doesn't even have rankings.

I think that belt only got made so they could keep Cyborg around cuz they know she's one of their top draws & with all the bad things happening with other draws they need Cyborg right now.

Cyborg held her own against a Muay Thai champion in Muay Thai rules match, but was still outclassed and knocked down a few times. She got beat clearly but didn't do bad considering she's only had two pro Muay Thai fights before that.

The talent pool in women's boxing isn't very deep, but I'm sure it's deeper than the women's 145 division in MMA though. I can see her beating some b and c level fighters, but can't see her winning a title or beating any top contenders.

The thing about Cyborg is that she's a big name and she's one of the few women who makes decent money in MMA, so I have a hard time seeing her make more in boxing. I doubt she'll even make the same in boxing as she makes in MMA.

Women's boxing just isn't popular at all really. If women's boxing was lucrative, Holly Holm would still be boxing and she would have never joined MMA to begin with.

this right here. sadly, for women, boxing just isnt the place to be. mma women division has a lot more interest because in mma, the fighters can do more so in return it makes the fight a little bit more interesting to watch.
