if he wins a couple ok fights, a fight with Joshua would still be a decent heavy weight matchup

Tell that to the ring and espn. They've only lost to the best in the division. Far too early to call them d grade journeymen. Both better than any of wilders opponents.

theres no way haye's body makes it threw more than one more training camp, the mans jus to fragile to box at HW or even cruiser. Haye is a tough SOB but his body just doesnt have enough spring left in it

The problem is, the public are going to remember his defeat to Bellew because it was quite a shock for him to lose that fight, albeit due to injury. He really has to bite the bullet, accept Bellew's demands then win the rematch. And, in a sense, ironically Bellew could be a good tune-up opponent for Haye to test out the ankle.

Haye has to think a long-term strategy which includes perhaps a much lower payday against Bellew to get a much higher payday against Joshua. If Haye can erase the memory of his loss to Bellew by KOing him in spectacular fashion, the demand for the Joshua fight, at least among the mainstream casual audience, would be through the roof.
